An automotive fuel tank is provided in which a plurality of mounting members are provided on a built-in part which are fusion bonded to an inner surface of an outer wall of the fuel tank so as to attach the built-in part in place in the fuel tank. An abutment portion is formed on the mounting member which is brought into abutment with an inner surface of the outer wall of the fuel tank. The abutment portion has formed thereon an abutment surface which is made to tightly stick to the inner surface of the outer wall of the fuel tank and elongated projections which project from the abutment surface, whose cross section at their distal end portions is of triangular shape and which penetrate into an interior of the outer wall of the fuel tank, and a height of an apex of the elongated projection from the abutment surface is in the range of 30% to 70% of a thickness of the outer wall of the fuel tank.

Automotive fuel tank

The tank valve unit includes a support body, and a fuel cutoff valve installed on the support body. The support body includes a mounting plate having a support engaged portion. The fuel cutoff valve has a casing in which a valve chamber is defined by a tubular casing body and a bottom cover installed in the bottom part of the casing body; and a float mechanism housed inside the valve chamber. The bottom cover has a first engaging portion adapted to attach to the casing body by engaging the casing body, and a second engaging portion adapted to secure to the mounting plate by engaging the support engaged portion.

Tank valve unit

A connector comprises a casing with a pipe fitting bore to which a pipe P is fitted; a pipe fixing component which slides against the casing and fixed the pipe P when the pipe is fitted to the pipe fitting bore and a seal component that is mounted facing the pipe duct to seal the pipe P. The pipe fixing component is elastically deformed, when the pipe P is fitted, from the temporary stop position at which it is temporarily stopped in the pipe fitting bore and moves to the connecting position where the pipe is fixed, it being possible to externally view whether the pipe fixing component is in the connecting position. The connector requires no checker or the like to check the connection with the pipe P, thus preventing poor seals.

Connector

A fuel hose should reduce noise during fuel injection into an engine, and should not interfere with other engine components. The fuel hose supplies fuel drawn up from a fuel tank to the fuel injection valves of the engine, and is formed from a resin material which is resistant to fuel. The fuel hose comprises a hose main body having a fuel passage, and an non-circular component formed as a result of at least part of the cross sectional shape of the hose main body being non-circular. The non-circular component has a plurality of ribs running in the axial direction along the hose main body, and absorbs pulsation by the varying of the cross sectional shape of the ribs in response to variations in the pressure on the fuel flowing through the fuel passage, thereby resisting alterations to the shape in the axial direction.
