An optical space transmission device includes: a first portion; and a second portion which is rotatably connected to the first portion and performs space transmission of signals using light between the first portion and the second portion. The device includes: a first light emitting and receiving module which is provided for the first portion and includes: a first light emitting element composed of a light emitting diode emitting first signal light modulated based on a signal transmitted from the first to second portion; and a first light receiving element receiving second signal light modulated based on a signal transmitted from the second to first portions; and a second light emitting and receiving module which is provided for the second portion and includes: a second light emitting element composed of a semiconductor laser emitting the second signal light; and a second light receiving element receiving the first signal light.

Optical space transmission device including rotatable member

A photo coupler includes a semiconductor laser, a semiconductor light-receiver, a resin protector, a reflective film, a light pipe, and electrodes. The light pipe is made of resin, has a rectangular parallelepiped shape, and is provided so as to surround an outer circumferential portion of the semiconductor light-receiver. On a center portion of an upper surface of the light pipe, a recessed portion shaped in a frustum of quadrangular pyramid tapered toward the semiconductor light-receiver is formed. The reflective film is shaped in a frustum surface of pyramid tapered toward the semiconductor light-receiver, and is formed on side surfaces of the recessed portion.

Photo coupler

This invention solves this problem by including an optical transmitter module and optical receiver module inside the connector so as to carry out spatial optical transmitting of optical signal obtained by conversion with the optical transmitter module for optical transmitting between the optical transmitter module and the optical receiver module opposing each other across space.

Optical connector

An optical transceiver is equipped with at least one coupling lens which condenses reception signal light from an optical medium and condenses transmission signal light to the optical medium, an optical plate which passes the reception signal light and reflects the transmission signal light, a light receiving element which receives the reception signal light passed through the optical plate, and a light emitting element which transmits the transmission signal light so as to be reflected by the optical plate, wherein an emission port of the transmission signal light of the light emitting element is arranged at a position to enable the transmission signal light from the light emitting element to form an image in the optical medium via the optical plate and the coupling lens, and wherein the emission port of the transmission signal light of the light emitting element is arranged in a direction that makes the incident angle formed on the optical plate by the beam center line of the transmission signal light transmitted from the light emitting element larger than the incident angle of the beam center line for maximally condensing the transmission signal light from the light emitting element to the optical medium in order to move the beam center line of the transmission signal light from the light emitting element away from the light receiving element, whereby it becomes possible to reduce the near-end crosstalk from the light emitting element to the light receiving element in the optical transceiver.

Optical transceiver

An optical transmitter is equipped with a laser diode and a light detector provided on a packaging base, in which the light detector has a semiconductor substrate side arranged on a packaging base side, a semiconductor junction plane, a side surface which is roughly orthogonal to the semiconductor junction plane, and a facing surface which faces the side surface, wherein the facing surface is partially or completely inclined to reflect the output light from the laser diode incident from the side surface to the semiconductor junction plane of the light detector.
