The developer carrying member is manufactured by a polishing method and includes a rotary shaft and a roller portion stacked on an outer circumferential surface of the rotary shaft, and a toner layer is formed on the roller portion. The regulation blade contacts the outer circumferential surface of the roller portion so as to regulate a thickness of the toner layer. When ten-point average roughnesses in a circumferential direction and in an axial direction of the roller portion are indicated as Rz1 and Rz2, respectively, Rz1/Rz2≤1.5 is satisfied, and a contact linear pressure of the regulation blade with respect to the roller portion is not less than 15 [N/m] and not more than 40 [N/m].

An image forming apparatus includes an image carrying member, a charging device, an exposure device, a developing device, a control section, and a temperature detecting device. The developing device includes a developer carrying member having an outer circumferential surface on which a toner layer is formed, and a regulation blade that regulates a thickness of the toner layer. The control section executes speed reduction control to reduce a rotation speed of the developer carrying member at a time of warming-up. When a printing operation to be performed after the warming-up is intermittent printing and an interval of the intermittent printing is not less than a prescribed time or a temperature detected by the temperature detecting device is not more than a prescribed temperature, the control section reduces the rotation speed of the developer carrying member in the speed reduction control to a second speed lower than the first speed.

Image forming apparatus capable of executing speed reduction control of system linear speed at time of warming-up

An image forming apparatus includes an image carrying member, a charging device, an exposure device, a developing device, and a control section. The developing device includes a development container for containing a non-magnetic one-component developer composed only of a toner, a developer carrying member having an outer circumferential surface on which a toner layer is formed, and a regulation blade that regulates a thickness of the toner layer. The control section executes speed reduction control to reduce a rotation speed of the developer carrying member at a time of warming-up before image formation to a first speed lower than a reference speed at a time of the image formation. In the speed reduction control, the control section raises the rotation speed of the developer carrying member at a first acceleration rate until the first speed is reached from a state where rotation of the developer carrying member is stopped.

Image forming apparatus capable of suppressing a white void in an image and a cleaning failure in a non-magnetic one component development device

A development device includes a development housing, a development roller, a supply roller and a layer thickness regulating member. The development housing stores a nonmagnetic one-component toner. The development roller is formed by a cylindrical elastic body, and moves in a same direction as a rotational direction of a rotatable photosensitive drum at a development nip area while coming into contact with the photosensitive drum. The supply roller is formed by a cylindrical elastic body, and supplies the toner to the development roller and collects the toner from the development roller. The development roller has a surface free energy within a range of 5 mJ/mor more and 27 mJ/mor less.

Development device and image forming apparatus including the development device

A flexible wiring board is constructed by placing, on a surface of a flexible ultraviolet-transmissive base member in the form of a layer, a conductive member in the form of a layer and a covering member in the form of a layer. The conductive member has an exposed leading area not covered with the covering member. A lead is aligned with an electrode and they are connected together with pressure exerted by a pressure applying jig which is ultraviolet-transmissive. A photosetting adhesive resin capable of shrinking in volume is injected between the flexible wiring board and a printed circuit board. The photosetting adhesive resin is irradiated with ultraviolet passing through the pressure applying jig and the base member. When irradiated with the ultraviolet rays, the photosetting adhesive resin hardens. Volume shrinkage force exerted by the photosetting adhesive resin enhances the connection between the lead and the electrode. Such a connecting procedure can be performed at room temperature thereby cutting down the cost of the flexible board and providing a wider range of applications thereof.

Method for manufacturing an electronic component

A depression jig, having a depression chip and a holder for holding the depression chip, is provided which depresses against a wiring substrate a semiconductor chip placed on the wiring substrate. The holder has portions defining penetrations vertically running through the holder. Optical fibers are inserted into the penetrations. A light ray radiates from the optical fiber. The light ray is incident upon the top surface of the depression chip, enters the depression chip, is reflected from a side surface of the depression chip onto the undersurface of the depression chip, and is emitted from the undersurface of the depression chip as an outgoing light ray. A photo-curing resin supplied between the semiconductor chip and the wiring substrate is irradiated with such an outgoing light ray, so that the photo-curing resin hardens.
