A display control apparatus comprising a controller configured to superimpose a first image on a right-side edge region or a left-side edge region of a first video image of a rear area behind a vehicle depending on a position of a first object when a distance between the vehicle and the first object present at right rear side or left rear side of the vehicle decreases while the vehicle is moving at a moving speed smaller than a reference value, and superimpose a second image in a display mode different from the first image on the first video when a distance between the vehicle and a second object behind the vehicle becomes less than a predetermined threshold while the vehicle is moving.

A display control device includes a controller configured to simultaneously displays a bird's-eye view image of a vehicle viewed from above, a video image behind the vehicle captured by an imager, and guide images extending rearward at intervals in the vehicle width direction of the vehicle on one screen of a display.
