A reinforcement extending in the front-back direction of a vehicle and connecting a rear side member and a center pillar is provided. The reinforcement includes a gusset, an intermediate connecting member, and a pillar-side member. The gusset is connected to the rear side member, and the front end portion of the gusset is connected to the rear surface of the intermediate connecting member. The front surface of the intermediate connecting member is connected to the rear end portion of the pillar-side member. The pillar-side member is connected to the center pillar.

Vehicle body structure of convertible vehicle

A vehicle door structure has a door inner panel; a BL inner RF that is made of a fiber reinforced resin and that, together with the door inner panel, forms a closed cross-section structure portion; and an up-stop member that is structured to include joined portions that are joined to the BL inner RF, and a rubber stopper that is disposed further toward a vehicle transverse direction outer side than the closed cross-section structure portion. A communication hole, that communicates an interior and an exterior of the closed cross-section structure portion and through which the up-stop member is inserted, is formed in the BL inner RF. The joined portions are joined by rivets in a state of being superposed on the BL inner RF from a vehicle transverse direction inner side.

Vehicle door structure and method of manufacturing vehicle door

In a battery frame, an upper panel is made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic, and first reinforcements are made of sheet metal. Head portions of rivets are disposed at the upper panel side, and a diameter dimension of the head portions is set larger than that of caulking portions of the rivets. This enables a contact surface area between the rivets and the upper panel to be larger than in cases in which the caulking portions are disposed at the upper panel side. This enables peripheral edge portions of first joint holes in the upper panel to be supported by the head portions of the rivets over a large surface area. The peripheral edge portions of the first joint holes in the upper panel are thereby suppressed from breaking and the like.

Heterogeneous material joint structure

A door structure includes (i) a door panel including a first wall provided with a hinge member, a second wall, and a first bent part provided between the first wall and the second wall, (ii) a first reinforcing plate including a first part joined to the first wall, a second part joined to the second wall, and a corner part provided between the first part and the second part, and (iii) a second reinforcing plate including a third part joined to the first part, a fourth part joined to the second part, and an intermediate part provided between the third part and the fourth part.
