In response to an engine temporary stop request, a quantity of oxygen stored in a catalytic converter is reduced by controlling an in-cylinder air fuel ratio to be richer than stoichiometric. The quantity of stored oxygen is calculated while the engine is operating. An amount of air fuel ratio enrichment is set based on the quantity of stored oxygen calculated when the stop request occurs, such that the amount of air fuel ratio enrichment decreases as the quantity of stored oxygen decreases. An opening of a throttle valve is reduced in response to the stop request. Engine stop is permitted when the reduction of the opening of the throttle valve causes an internal pressure of an intake passage downstream of the throttle valve to reach a predetermined negative pressure, and the air fuel ratio enrichment operation causes the quantity of stored oxygen to reach a predetermined target value.

Method and device for controlling stopping of engine

An electric pump includes a motor including a rotor rotatable about an axis extending in an axial direction and a stator with a coil wire, a pump connected to the rotor, a circuit board on a first side in the axial direction of the motor, and a coil guide between the motor and the circuit board. The coil wire extends to the first side in the axial direction and is connected to the circuit board. The coil guide includes a first portion guiding the coil wire along the axial direction, and a second portion which faces the motor and in which the first portion is opened. The second portion is a surface inclined to the first side in the axial direction toward an opening of the first portion. A width of the second portion as viewed from the axial direction decreases toward the opening of the first portion.

Electric pump

An electric pump includes a motor unit rotationally driving a drive shaft, and a pump unit. The pump unit includes a pump rotor that sends the fluid by a driving force of the driving shaft, and a pump housing that surrounds at least one side of the pump rotor. The pump housing includes an attachment surface extending in the axial direction and in contact with an attached body, first and second flow paths respectively on the suction side and the discharge side, and a fixing location within the attachment surface and fixed to the attached body by a fixing member within a maximum outer shape of the motor housing as viewed in the axial direction. Opening locations of the first and second flow paths are displaced from each other in the axial direction on the attachment surface.

Electric pump including a motor unit and an axially extending attachment surface

An aspect of an electric pump of the present invention is an electric pump attached to a predetermined object. The electric pump includes a motor having a rotor rotatable about a center axis extending in an axial direction, a pump mechanism coupled to the rotor, a circuit board located radially outside the motor and having a plate face directed in a radial direction, an electrolytic capacitor attached to the plate face of the circuit board, and a housing that houses the motor, the pump mechanism, the circuit board, and the electrolytic capacitor therein. The housing has a mounting face attached to a predetermined object. The mounting face is a face directed radially outward. The plate face of the circuit board is disposed along a direction intersecting the mounting face. The electrolytic capacitor is disposed at a position closer to the mounting face than the center axis in the direction orthogonal to the mounting face.

A control method of an internal combustion engine including an in-cylinder injection fuel injection valve arranged to inject a fuel to a combustion chamber, and a port injection fuel injection valve arranged to inject the fuel to an intake port, the control method includes: sensing or estimating a fuel temperature at a tip end portion of the in-cylinder injection fuel injection valve; sensing an intake pressure; judging whether or not a flash boiling condition based on the fuel temperature and the intake pressure; setting the in-cylinder fuel injection valve to a default fuel injection valve; and injecting an entire or a part of the fuel from the port injection fuel injection valve by decreasing an injection amount ratio of the in-cylinder injection fuel injection valve when the flash boiling condition is satisfied.

Internal combustion engine control method and control device

An electric pump device is provided. The electric pump device includes a motor, an inverter substrate electrically connected to the motor, a housing for housing the motor and the inverter substrate, and a pump portion driven by power of the motor. The housing includes a motor housing portion for housing the motor and an inverter housing portion for housing the inverter substrate. The motor housing portion has strut portions which extend inside the inverter housing portion and fixed to the inverter substrate.

Electric pump device

A control unit () calculates a temperature difference (&#x394;Tg). The temperature difference (&#x394;Tg) is a value obtained by subtracting the temperature (Tg) of a GPF () from a target GPF temperature (Tgt). If the temperature difference (&#x394;Tg) is less than or equal to zero, the control unit () implements a fuel economy-oriented conventional control. If the temperature difference (&#x394;Tg) is greater than zero, the control unit () implements a filter temperature-increasing control. The filter temperature-increasing control causes the exhaust temperature to be increased so that the temperature (Tg) of the GPF () becomes greater than or equal to the target GPF temperature (Tgt).

An electric pump apparatus includes a motor, an inverter board, a coil support, a housing, and a pump portion driven by the motor. Coils include first end portions and second end portions drawn out from the coils, the first end portion and the second end portion defining both end portions of each of conducting wires of the coils. The inverter board is on a first axial side of the motor. The coil support includes a neutral point busbar that electrically connects the coils to one another. The coil support includes a first region including the first end portions arranged therein, each first end portion being directly connected to the inverter board, and a second region including the second end portions and the neutral point busbar arranged therein, each second end portion being connected to the neutral point busbar.

Electric pump apparatus

An inverter substrate has a plurality of heat generating elements mounted thereon and disposed at intervals from each other. A housing has an inverter housing section that accommodates the inverter substrate. The inverter housing section has a first member that faces one plate surface of a pair of plate surfaces of the inverter substrate, a second member that faces the other plate surface of the pair of plate surfaces, and a plurality of heat conductive sheets that are disposed between the first member or the second member and the inverter substrate and are brought into contact with the first member or the second member and the inverter substrate. The heat conductive sheets are thermally connected to the heat generating elements. The heat conductive sheets are individually disposed at positions at which the heat conductive sheets overlap the plurality of heat generating elements in a plan view of the inverter substrate.

An internal combustion engine has a cylinder, a cylinder head mounted to the cylinder, a piston disposed in the cylinder, and a fuel injection valve. A combustion chamber is defined by the piston, the cylinder head and the cylinder. The fuel injection valve has a plurality of injection holes that injects fuel directly inside the cylinder from a side of the combustion chamber. The injection holes inject fuel in a spray shape with an overall shape, which is formed by a plurality of sprays being injected from the injection holes. The overall shape expands toward the cylinder head and forms one part of a conical shape that is dented near the piston. Central axes of some of the injection holes are oriented toward a boundary portion near the exhaust valve formed at a crown surface of the piston and an inner wall of the cylinder when fuel is injected.
