A network protection device includes a packet capture unit which captures a network packet through an intelligent switch which performs connection in a communication network or across communication networks; a network analyzer which detects a threat in the network packet; a threat remover which removes the threat in the network packet; and a switch operator which changes from a first communication path, which connects a sender node to a receiver node without the threat remover, to a second communication path, which is different from the first communication path and connects the sender node to the receiver node through the threat remover when the threat is detected in the threat detector.

A network system suitable for remote monitoring or remote control of equipments is provided. When an execution of a server-side object is requested from a client terminal device to a server, the server requests an execution of an equipment-side object to the equipment(s). The execution request of the server-side object from the client terminal device is performed by use of a first identifier assigned to the server-side object, and the execution request of the equipment-side object is performed by use of a second identifier assigned to the equipment-side object. Since the server has an identifier setting function of setting a correspondence relation between the first identifier and the second identifier, it is possible to reduce burden on the client terminal device, and flexibly cope with cases of exchanging and increasing the equipment(s) in the network system without considering specific identification information of the equipments such as IP address.

Upon obtaining second (first) class information corresponding to a second (first) device newly added to a network, the communication controller refers to fundamental request (notification) information and obtains request (notification) information corresponding to the obtained second (first) class information. The communication controller refers to notification (request) authorization information and obtains second (first) sender information associated with the notification (request) information indicative of the same processing as that indicated by the obtained request (notification) information. The communication controller creates request (notification) authorization information indicative of a combination of the first (second) sender information indicative of the second (first) device newly added to the network, the obtained request (notification) information, and first (second) destination information indicative of the same first (second) device as the first (second) device indicated by the obtained second (first) sender information.

Communication controller and network system utilizing the same

A network system is provided, in which a system change can be easily performed by adding or exchanging an equipment(s) to be controlled or monitored. The equipment has an object with an object identifier defined according to a service content provided by the equipment. Upon the receipt of a service request using the object identifier from a network device connected to the equipment via a network, the equipment executes the service defined in the object according to this service request. By assigning a same object identifier to objects of a plurality of equipments, it is possible to provide the same service from those equipments according to the service request performed from the network device by use of the same object identifier.
