The sheet conveying unit of the present invention has a roller for conveying a sheet which contacts therewith, a supporting portion for rotatably supporting both sides of the roller, a drive motor for rotatively driving the roller, and a frame portion for holding the supporting portion and the drive motor and making them integral with each other.
