Provided is an analysis device capable of analyzing a wide range of ion concentrations. The analysis device includes: an ion separating unit selectively conducting a specific kind of ions from among a plurality of kinds of ions flowing through a flow path; a detection electrode provided in the flow path and disposed toward an outlet with respect to the ionization unit; and a deflection electrode positioned across the flow path from the detection electrode, and generating an electric field that moves the specific kind of ions toward the detection electrode. The deflection electrode is capable of adjusting a width of a region in which the electric field is generated in a width direction perpendicular to a direction in which the flow path extends.

Analysis device

This electron emitting element includes a lower electrode, a surface electrode facing the lower electrode, a resistance layer arranged between the lower electrode and the surface electrode, and an insulating layer arranged between the lower electrode and the surface electrode. The resistance layer is an insulating resin layer containing conductive fine particles in a dispersed state. The insulating layer has a peripheral region for defining the electron emission region, and an emission control region which is arranged so as to overlap the electron emission region defined by the peripheral region. The emission control region is configured by a line-shaped insulating layer, a plurality of dot-shaped insulating layers, or both a line-shaped insulating layer and a plurality of dot-shaped insulating layers. The percentage of an area that the emission control region represents within an area of an electron emission region defined by the peripheral region is 2% or more and 60% or less.

An electrowetting device includes an electrode substrate including a first substrate, a plurality of first drive electrodes formed on the first substrate, and a water-repellent insulating layer formed on the plurality of first drive electrodes, a counter substrate including a second substrate, and disposed so as to face the electrode substrate with a predetermined gap therebetween, a sealing portion provided in a sealing region at the electrode substrate, and bonding the electrode substrate and the counter substrate, and an injection valve for injecting a droplet into the gap, the injection valve being located in the sealing region and including a first valve body formed of an electric field responsive gel.

Electrowetting device

Provided is a microfluidic device that, as compared with a conventional microfluidic device, (i) is smoother in surface of a water-repellent layer provided above a segment electrode and (ii) makes it easier for microfluid provided in the surface of the water-repellent layer to slide. A microfluidic device () includes: an array substrate () including a plurality of electrodes (); and a counter substrate () including at least one electrode (), the array substrate () and the counter substrate () having therebetween an internal space () in which to cause an electroconductive droplet () to move across the plurality of electrodes (), and the plurality of electrodes () being provided on a first flattening resin layer () and each being a light-blocking metal electrode.

Microfluidic device

An electron emission element of the present invention includes a lower electrode, a surface electrode, and a silicone resin layer disposed between the lower electrode and the surface electrode, wherein the surface electrode includes a silver layer, and the silver layer is in contact with the silicone resin layer.

A scanning antenna includes a TFT substrate including a plurality of patch electrodes, a slot substrate including a slot electrode, and a liquid crystal layer provided between the TFT substrate and the slot substrate. The slot electrode includes a plurality of slots disposed corresponding to the plurality of patch electrodes and a solid portion not including the plurality of slot. When viewed from a normal direction of the substrate, the patch electrode is disposed across the slot in a first direction and overlaps the solid portion at both ends of the slot in each of a plurality of antenna units, and when viewed from the normal direction of the substrate, at least one of a periphery of the solid portion and a periphery of the patch electrode includes a recessed portion or a protruding portion in at least one antenna unit of the plurality of antenna units.

Scanned antenna and method of inspecting scanned antenna

A scanning antenna including a transmission and/or reception region including a plurality of antenna units arranged in the transmission and/or reception region and a non-transmission and/or reception region includes a TFT substrate including a plurality of first TFTs supported by a first dielectric substrate and a plurality of patch electrodes, a slot substrate including a slot electrode including a plurality of slots, a liquid crystal layer provided between the TFT substrate and the slot substrate, and a plurality of inspection electrode sections disposed while not overlapping the plurality of antenna units when viewed from a normal direction of the first dielectric substrate. Each of a plurality of inspection electrode sections includes a second TFT supported by the TFT substrate and including a source electrode connected to the source bus line and a gate electrode connected to the gate bus line, a transparent electrode supported by the TFT substrate and connected to a drain electrode of the second TFT, and a slot electrode extending while opposing the transparent electrode with the liquid crystal layer interposed therebetween.

Disclosed is an active matrix substrate that includes a plurality of TFTs. The active matrix substrateincludes a substrate, TFTs, a light transmission film, and a protection film Cap. The TFTs are provided on the substrateso as to correspond to a plurality of pixels, respectively. The light transmission filmis provided between the TFTs and the substrate. The protection film Capcovers an end surfaceof the light transmission film, the end surfacebeing not parallel with the substrate. The TFT includes a gate electrode, a gate insulating film, a semiconductor film, a drain electrode, and a source electrode. The protection film Capis arranged between the light transmission filmand the semiconductor film of the TFT.

Active matrix substrate, display device, and manufacturing method

An EWOD device includes opposing substrates defining a gap and each including an insulating surface facing the gap. Array elements include electrode elements to which actuation voltages are applied. A pre-charging structure defines a channel in fluid communication with the gap wherein the channel receives an input of a fluid reservoir for generation of the liquid droplet, and the pre-charging structure includes an electrical element electrically exposed to the channel. The electrical element pre-charges the fluid reservoir within the channel, and a portion of the gap containing the liquid droplet spaced apart from the channel is electrically isolated from the electrical element such that the liquid droplet is at a floating electrical potential when located within said portion of the gap. The electrical element may be an electrode portion that is exposed to the channel, or an externally connected pre-charging element inserted into the channel.

An active matrix substrate includes an insulating substrate in which light-transmitting areas and a light-shielding area are formed. Light-emitting device and manufacturing method thereof

An organic EL display device is provided with: an organic EL element, which is formed on an insulating substrate, and which is provided between the insulating substrate and an insulating substrate; a sealing material, which is provided in a frame region, and which is sandwiched between the insulating substrate and the insulating substrate to bond the insulating substrates to each other; and a wall member, which is provided in the frame region by being adjacent to the outer face side of the sealing material, and which forms level differences in the sealing material so as to make the height of the outer face side of the sealing material small.

Organic EL display apparatus

An EC region (second region) of an organic EL display device () has an optical interference layer which is a multilayer of (i) an edge cover () made from an acrylic resin having a lower refractive index, (ii) an organic layer (), and (iii) a second electrode () which is a thin and semi-transparent film. Therefore, the organic EL display device () can suppress a deterioration in contrast without narrowing a display region, and can have a high reliability.

Display device having a reflection of light reducing multilayer

The emission efficiency of a light-emitting device including a microcavity structure is improved. The light-emitting device includes a plurality of light-emitting elements. The plurality of light-emitting elements each include a reflective electrode, a transparent electrode, a plurality of light-emitting layers, and a semi-transmissive and semi-reflective electrode stacked in that order. The plurality of light-emitting layers emit light of different colors. A surface roughness of the transparent electrode in the light-emitting element which is among the plurality of light-emitting elements and in which light emitted from the light-emitting layer closest to the reflective electrode is amplified and emitted outside is greater than surface roughnesses of the transparent electrodes in the other light-emitting elements.

The light-emitting device includes a first lower electrode, a second lower electrode, a partition, a layer with high conductivity, light-emitting layers, and an upper electrode. The conductivity of the layer with high conductivity is higher than the conductivity of each of the light-emitting layers and lower than the conductivity of each of the lower electrodes and the upper electrode. The partition includes a first slope located on a first lower electrode side and a second slope located on a second lower electrode side. The thickness of the layer with high conductivity located over the first slope in a direction perpendicular to the first slope is different from the thickness of the layer with high conductivity located over the second slope in a direction perpendicular to the second slope.
