A lubricating oil composition which can reduce the occurrence frequency of LSPI and which can ensure detergency. The lubricating oil composition which includes a lubricant base oil, a compound having calcium and/or magnesium, a compound having molybdenum and/or phosphorus, and an ashless dispersant having nitrogen and which satisfies X&#x2264;&#x2212;0.85 and Y&#x2265;0.18 (wherein X is calculated according to formula (1): X=([Ca]+0.5[Mg])&#xd7;8&#x2212;[Mo]&#xd7;8&#x2212;[P]&#xd7;30 and Y is calculated according to formula (2): Y=[Ca]+1.65[Mg]+[N]). The lubricating oil composition for use in an internal combustion engine, more particularly, a lubricating oil composition for use in a supercharged gasoline engine.

A control device for a vehicle brake system includes first judgment value derivation and storage means for deriving and storing as first judgment value a boosting limit judgment pressure which, if predetermined conditions are satisfied during the driving of hydraulic pumps by boost control means, a boosting limit judgment pressure calculation means calculates at the time when the predetermined conditions are satisfied, and returning start judgment means for judging whether the returning of the brake manipulation member has been started or not. An assistance-limit recognizing device for recognizing a limit of assistance made by a vacuum booster that is configured to assist an operating force applied to a brake operating member. A communication between a variable pressure chamber and a negative pressure chamber of the vacuum booster is established, when the operating force is not applied to the brake operating member. A communication between the variable pressure chamber and the atmosphere is established while the communication between the variable pressure chamber and the negative pressure chamber is cut off, when the operating force is applied to the brake operating member, whereby the operating force applied to the brake operating member is assisted based on a pressure difference between a pressure in the negative pressure chamber and a pressure in the variable pressure chamber. The assistance-limit recognizing device is configured, upon reduction of the variable-pressure chamber pressure in process of change of the variable-pressure chamber pressure toward the atmospheric pressure with application of the operating force to the brake operating member, to recognize the limit of the assistance made by the vacuum booster.

The control device adapted to a vehicle brake apparatus includes a vacuum obtaining portion, a master cylinder pressure obtaining portion and a boosting control portion for executing a boosting control which controls supplying of a boosting pressure established by driving the hydraulic pressure pump and controlling the pressure differential control valve so that the boosting pressure agrees to a target boosting pressure obtained with a target boosting gain smaller than a basic boosting gain which indicates a servo-ratio of the vacuum booster up to the time, when the master cylinder pressure becomes equal to or more than a boosting limit pressure which is a master cylinder pressure corresponding to a boosting limit of the vacuum booster at the vacuum obtained by the vacuum pressure obtaining portion, in addition to the master cylinder pressure established in response to the operation of the brake operation member.

Control device for a brake apparatus

The similarity groups of the pressure differential&#x2014;current characteristics of solenoid valves are measured in advance, and the measurement results are used to select the solenoid valves to be used for first to fourth pressure increase control valves. Only solenoid valves in the same region in terms of their similarity group of the pressure differential&#x2014;current characteristics are used for the first to fourth pressure increase control valves. A board on which the first to fourth control valves are mounted is provided with a mark unit that indicates the similarity group of the pressure differential&#x2014;current characteristics of the first to forth pressure increase control valves. The mark unit includes a resistor. A brake ECU uses the resistance value of the resistor to identify the similarity group of the pressure differential&#x2014;current characteristics of the first to fourth pressure increase control valves.

In a vehicular control system, when in the engine ECU, ATECU or brake ECU there occurs important information which requires an urgent response by any of the other ECUs, the important information is transmitted directly to the corresponding ECU through an important information communication line L1 without going through a manager ECU 10.
