A method of manufacturing a connecting rod is provided. The method includes the steps of (1) forming, on a long rod material, a rotation transmitting portion having a non-circular cross section; (2) cutting the rod material to provide the rotation transmitting portion at each of both ends; and (3) forming, by cutting work, a small-diameter column portion and a tapered portion at a first end of the cut rod material from a tip-end side. The small-diameter column portion has a diameter smaller than a diameter of the rotation transmitting portion. The tapered portion is provided continuously from the small-diameter column portion and gradually increases in diameter. The rotation transmitting portion is provided continuously from the tapered portion.

Connecting rod and double reclining mechanism

The present invention relates to a Taumel-type reclining device and provides a reclining device in which clattering does not occur. Reclining device

A conveyance seat includes: a pair of lower rails; a pair of upper rails, each of which is slidably assembled to the corresponding lower rail; an electric drive mechanism; a pair of brackets, each of which is assembled to an upper surface of the corresponding upper rail; and a pair of buffer members, each of which is arranged between the upper surface of the upper rail and the bracket. The electric drive mechanism includes a drive source fastened to one of the brackets; a shaft; a pair of screws assembled one to each rail of the lower rails or the upper rails; a pair of nuts; and a pair of gear subassemblies. The electric drive mechanism electrically slides each upper rail with respect the corresponding lower rail by the screw moving relative to the nut or by the nut moving relative to the screw, by rotation of the shaft when the drive source is driven.

A power seat sliding apparatus does not produce an unusual sound and a good operation feeling is obtained. The power seat sliding apparatus includes a first load transmission member fixedly attached to an upper rail and having a first surface that intersects with an axis of a threaded rod and a second surface that opposes the first surface with a space in between, and a second load transmission member installed in the space between the first surface and the second surface, fixedly attached to the threaded rod, and having a third surface on which to abut the first surface and a fourth surface on which to abut the second surface. The first surface and the second surface are concave curved surfaces and the third surface and the fourth surface are convex curved surfaces.

Power seat sliding apparatus

A recliner that connects a seatback to a base in a manner in which a backrest angle is adjustable includes one disk-shaped connecting member and another disk-shaped connecting member, a locking mechanism that locks the relative rotation of the two connecting members, and an outer peripheral ring. The one connecting member has a smaller outer diameter than the other connecting member does. The outer peripheral ring has a joining portion joined to the outer peripheral portion of the other connecting member, an abutting portion bent radially inward so as to abut against the outer peripheral portion of the one connecting member from an outside in the axial direction, and a connecting portion that connects the joining portion to the abutting portion. The connecting portion has a shape in which at least a portion in a circumferential direction thereof extends inclined radially inward from the joining portion toward the abutting portion.

Gearbox bracket and power seat sliding device

A power slide device for a vehicle seat includes a lower rail and an upper rail slidable relative to the lower rail, a front support member fixed to the lower rail, a screw rod, a rear support member provided with a rear orthogonal plate portion and a fixed plate portion, a movement limiter which limits movement of the screw rod, a worm wheel, and a collision load receiving portion which limits forward tilting of the rear orthogonal plate portion by contacting the base surface of the lower rail when a force is exerted on the screw rod forwardly from the worm wheel. The collision load receiving portion is positioned in front of the rear orthogonal plate portion and is spaced downward from the screw rod and integrated with the rear support member that is mounted to the screw rod.

Power slide device for vehicle seat

A power slider includes a lower rail and an upper rail which are engaged with each other so as to be mutually slidable along each other, a screw rod which is rotatably supported on one of the lower rail and the upper rail, a feed nut which is supported on the other of the lower rail and the upper rail and is screw-engaged with the screw rod, and a gearbox which is supported on the one of the lower rail and the upper rail via a holder and which rotatably drives the screw rod. The gearbox is provided with a mounting bolt through-hole and is supported by the holder via a mounting bolt that is inserted through the mounting bolt through-hole. A resilient member is positioned in a space defined between the mounting bolt through-hole of the gearbox and the mounting bolt.
