A fuel-saving control device () equipped with: a surplus drive force calculation unit () for calculating surplus drive force; a fuel-saving control unit () for executing a fuel-saving control which lowers and corrects the indicated fuel injection amount according to the accelerator position when the surplus drive force reaches or exceeds a threshold, and stopping the fuel-saving control when the surplus drive force falls below the threshold; a direction indicator operation detection unit () for detecting operation of a direction indicator; a vehicle position detection unit () for detecting the vehicle position; a map information storage unit () for storing map information; and a fuel-saving control stoppage condition determination unit () for determining whether or not a fuel-saving control should be stopped, on the basis of the map information and the vehicle position when the direction indicator operation is detected. When determined that the fuel-saving control should be stopped, the fuel-saving control unit () stops the fuel-saving control even if the surplus drive force does not fall below the threshold.

A fuel-saving control deviceequipped with: a surplus drive force calculation unitfor calculating surplus drive force; a fuel-saving control unitfor executing a fuel-saving control which lowers and corrects the indicated fuel injection amount according to the accelerator position by using a lowering-correction value that corresponds to the surplus drive force when the surplus drive force reaches or exceeds a prescribed threshold, and stopping the fuel-saving control when the surplus drive force falls below the prescribed threshold; a vehicle position detection unitfor detecting the vehicle position; a map information storage unitfor storing map information; and a forward curvature radius identification unitfor identifying the forward curvature radius on the basis of the vehicle position and the map information. Therein, the fuel-saving control unitprevents the lowering-correction value from varying by a prescribed degree of variability or more when the forward curvature radius is less than the prescribed threshold.

Therein, the fuel-saving control unit stops the fuel-saving control when a downshifting operation is detected and the forward gradient is an uphill grade equal to or greater than a threshold.

A fuel-saving control device equipped with: a surplus drive force calculation unit for calculating surplus drive force; a fuel-saving control unit for executing a fuel-saving control which lowers and corrects the indicated fuel injection amount according to the accelerator position when the surplus drive force reaches or exceeds a first threshold, and stopping the fuel-saving control when the surplus drive force falls below the first threshold; a vehicle position detection unit for detecting the vehicle position; a map information storage unit for storing map information; a road information identification unit for identifying the curvature radius and gradient of the road upon which travel is planned, on the basis of the vehicle position and the map information; and a flat/straight road determination unit for determining whether or not the road upon which travel is planned is a flat and straight road, on the basis of the curvature radius and gradient of the road upon which travel is planned. Therein, the fuel-saving control unit executes the fuel-saving control when the road upon which travel is planned is a flat and straight road.
