Cosmetics containing the following components (A) and (B): (A) an oil-absorbing powder having a squalane-absorbing ability of 1 ml/g or more; and (B) a compound having an affinity for component (A) lower than that of sebum, and having an ability to absorb the sebum and release component (B) in exchange for the sebum when the cosmetic is applied onto the skin. These cosmetics can adequately absorb the sebum and thus exhibit excellent effects of relieving or preventing oiliness of the skin and worsening in makeup. By selecting an appropriate compound to be released in exchange for the absorbed sebum, a substance capable of improving the skin qualities such as moistness, tightness, and tension can be allowed to penetrate into the skin. Moreover, a bodily feeling of the removal of the sebum can be imparted to users thereby.

Cosmetics

The present invention relates to a phosphorylated glyceryl ether aluminum salt represented by the general formula (1): (wherein Rrepresents an alkyl or an alkenyl group with 8 to 32 carbon atoms; Rrepresents a hydrogen atom, a phosphoric acid residue or &#x2014;CHCH(OR)CHOR(wherein Rand Rare the same as described above, provided that a repeated binding number is 4 at the most when Ris &#x2014;CHCH(OR)CHOR); Xrepresents a hydrogen atom or a phosphoric acid residue, and at least one of Xand Ris a phosphoric acid residue; Y represents an alkali metal atom or an alkaline earth metal atom; m represents a number from 0.3 to 1, and n represents a number from 0 to 1), and an external dermatological agent containing the same. The compound has benefits such as an excellent pore contracting activity and also a good solubility in oil.

An oil-in-water type emulsion cosmetic which contains (A) a hydrophilic surface active agent, (B) an oily component and (C) water, and weight ratio of the component (B) is 10 or more based on 1 of the component (A).

Emulsion cosmetic

A dilatant composition comprises (A) an o/w emulsion comprising an ionic surfactant, a water phase, and an oil phase which comprises a ceramide or a linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated C-Cfatty acid, wherein the oil phase is in a form of oil droplets having an average droplet size of from 0.01 to 0.2 &#x3bc;m; and (B) a nonionic, water-soluble polymer having an average molecular weight of at least 300,000. The dilatant composition according to the present invention is excellent in dilatancy that its viscosity is low when left over standstill but increases abruptly when an external force of a certain intensity or higher is applied, and is useful in a wide variety of fields, e.g., cosmetic preparations such as humectants and massaging aids, shock absorbing agents and materials applied to around automotive crankcases.

Dilatant composition

A cosmetic comprising (A) a phosphoric triester represented by the general formula (1):wherein Rand Rare independently an alkyl group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, Ris an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, X, Y and Z are independently an alkylene group having 2 or 3 carbon atoms, l and m are independently a number of 1 to 10, and n is a number of 0 to 10, and (B) a skin activating component.

Cosmetic composition comprising a phosphoric triester and a skin activating component

The invention relates to an external skin care composition comprising a ceramide production-accelerating agent and a film-forming polymer. The external skin care composition can enhance the barrier function of the skin and has an excellent skin roughness-improving effect.

External skin care composition

Disclosed herein is a cosmetic composition comprising disintegrating granules composed of water-insoluble primary particles and a binder, wherein the disintegrating granules in the cosmetic composition have a compression strength of 0.002-0.1 kgf/mm.sup.2 and a particle size of 100-2,000 .mu.m, and the primary particles thereof have an average particle size of at most 100 .mu.m. The composition gives users neither an irritated feeling nor a feeling of physical disorder toward the skin and eyes, and a pleasant feeling upon use and has an excellent effect for improving a complexion.

Cosmetic composition

An emulsion-like or creamy composition for external application is disclosed. The composition is prepared by applying a shear force to an aqueous suspension comprising 0.1 to 20% by weight of one or more specific types of polyvalent metal alkyl phosphates. This composition has a gloss and a beautiful outward appearance, in which a powdery polyvalent metal alkyl phosphate is dispersed in an aqueous medium. The composition exhibits favorable characteristics inherent to a powder such as excellent extendability, good smoothness, stickilessness, slipperiness as well as superior freshness.

Composition for external application

A detergent composition contains as an essential component a compound represented by the following general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R means ##STR2## R.sup.1 denotes a straight-chain or branched alkyl or alkenyl group or a substituted phenyl group. R.sup.2 is an alkylene group having 2-3 carbon atoms, m is 0-30, and n stands for 0 or 1. M means a hydrogen atom or denotes an alkali metal, alkaline earth metal, zinc or aluminum atom, an ammonium ion, or an alkylamine or alkanolamine residuum thereby to indicate the formation of a salt of the compound of the general formula (I).

Detergent composition

A detergent composition comprises 10 parts by weight of a phosphoric acid ester of the formula (I) or (II): ##STR1## in which R1, R2 and R3 each are a saturted or unsaturated hydrocarbon group having 8 to 18 carbon atoms, X and Y each are hydrogen, an alkali metal, ammonium or an alkanolamine having 2 to 3 carbon atoms and n, m and L each are zero or an integer of 1 to 10, and (B) 0.05 to 10 parts by weight of an insoluble metal salt of a surface active agent.
