A bottle-shaped can includes a cap having an excellent sealing ability but easy to be opened. A top section includes a leading end section as an upper end of a neck portion, a diametrically-largest section formed beneath the leading end section, a diametrically-shrunk section extending downwardly from the diametrically-largest section, and an outer circumferential wall section extending downwardly from the diametrically-shrunk section. The leading end section, the diametrically-largest section, and diametrically-shrunk section form a smooth curved surface. A curvature of the diametrically-largest section in a cross-section is zero or negative value, given that a curvature of the diametrically-shrunk section is positive value. A flexion section is formed between the diametrically-shrunk section and the outer circumferential wall section. The outer diameter of the outer circumferential wall section in which the curvature is zero or negative value is larger than an outer diameter of the flexion section.

A can lid is provided for excellence in an explosion-proof function and a suitability for a hammering inspection. A buckling-inducing section that is easily deformed angularly is formed on a plurality of sites in a circumferential portion of a panel section. A score line intersects with a virtual line passing through a center of the panel section and a center of the buckling-inducing section. End portions of the score line are situated closer to the center of the panel section than a virtual boundary line extending perpendicular to the virtual line. A circular depression is formed at the center of the panel section. A slant wall section is formed between the buckling-inducing section and an inner side wall, and the slant wall section is joined to the inner side wall through a curved portion.

A method of manufacturing a two-piece food can having improved corrosion resistance is provided, wherein the two-piece food can using a metal sheet coated with a thermoplastic resin and having annular uneven beads and/or a bottom rim. After forming a bottomed cylindrical can body by drawing and ironing, by heating at a temperature higher than the melting temperature of the thermoplastic resin for a predetermined time before forming uneven beads and/or a bottom rim to the can body and quenching within a predetermined time after heating, the inner resin coating hardly peel off during the following formation of uneven beads and/or the bottom rim. As a result, a two-piece food can having excellent corrosion resistance may be obtained.
