When a state of a radio communication device corresponds to a predetermined state, a communication control unit operates in the first mode to communicate according to the BLE standard, while when the radio communication device does not receive connect request packets, the communication control unit operates in the second mode to communicate. A rewrite switching unit switches to a rewritable state when the communication control unit operates in the first mode and to a rewriting prohibited state when the communication control unit operates in the second mode. The first mode is a mode for updating. In the first mode, the communication control unit transmits a notification for limiting the communication to the updating in an establishment process of the communication. The second mode is a mode for performing processing other than the updating. In the second mode, the communication control unit does not transmit the notification.

Radio communication device, control method and radio communication system

A wireless communication system includes first and second communication apparatuses transmitting/receiving encrypted communication data by radio. The first includes: a first encrypting/decrypting unit encrypting communication data and decrypting encrypted communication data; a first interface unit electrically connectable with a portable nonvolatile memory (NVRAM), to which the NVRAM can be physically removably inserted; and a first cryptography key processing unit generating a temporary cryptography key used for encrypting/decrypting the communication data and a master cryptography key for generating the temporary cryptography key. The second communication apparatus includes: a second encrypting/decrypting unit encrypting the communication data and decrypting the encrypted communication data; a second interface unit electrically connectable with the NVRAM, to which the NVRAM storing the master cryptography key is physically removably inserted; and a second cryptography key processing unit generating the temporary cryptography key based on the master cryptography key read from the NVRAM connected with the second interface unit.

Wireless communication system, wireless communication apparatus, and method of exchanging cryptography key between wireless communication apparatuses

A computer system includes an information processing apparatus configured to incorporate a SCSI (Small Computer System Interface) command into a CBW (Command Block Wrapper), and transmits the CBW based on USB (Universal Serial Bus) protocol; and a peripheral apparatus configured to receive the CBW transmitted from the information processing apparatus, and transmit a value of a predetermined register indicating a state of a GPIO (general purpose input/output) interface to the information processing apparatus, when the SCSI command is a predetermined SCSI command. The information processing apparatus may issue the SCSI command based on an application program. The peripheral apparatus carries out a process corresponding to the SCSI command when the SCSI command is not the predetermined SCSI command.
