A pneumatic tire having an air impermeable layer. A film formed of a thermoplastic resin or thermoplastic elastomer composition comprising a blend of a thermoplastic resin and an elastomer is used for the air impermeable layer. Separation of the film is prevented and an inner appearance of the tire is improved. The air impermeable layerwhich is disposed on the inner side of the tire, is formed from a laminated bodycomprising a ribbon-shaped filmand ribbon-shaped elastomer pliesandlaminated on opposite sides thereof. The laminated bodyis wound in the circumferential direction of the tire in such a partially overlapping manner that it is displaced at prescribed intervals. Each pair of adjacent wound portionsA andB of the laminated bodyare spliced to each other in a partially overlapping manner in a state where the ribbon-shaped filmis disengaged from itself.

A tire breakdown warning device includes at least one temperature sensor for detection of temperature of a pneumatic tire, and provides a warning when a breakdown of the tire is found on the basis of detection signals detected by the at least one temperature sensor. The invention provides a brake control device for a vehicle, a brake control method and a recording medium having a program causing a computer to perform the brake control method. A tire friction characteristic with respect to a vehicle velocity or a wheel velocity is memorized in advance. When a brake is put on to the vehicle, a current slip ratio or a current slip velocity is found and an optimum slip ratio or an optimum slip velocity is calculated using the tire friction characteristic. Then, a difference between the optimum slip ratio and the found current slip ratio or a difference between the optimum slip velocity and the found current slip velocity is compared with a predetermined value. According to a result of the comparison, a braking force applied to the vehicle is controlled.

A pneumatic radial tire for passenger cars having a plurality of grooves formed in the tread and extending at least circumferentially of the tire, the tread being provided with two belt plies therein in such a manner that their belt cords extend in a crisscross pattern. The grooves have a depth in the range of 6.0 to 8.5 mm, with the thickness of the under-groove rubber layer from the bottom of the grooves to the outer belt ply being fixed within the range of 0.5 to 2.0 mm. The belt plies are placed one over another with the both edge portions left unfolded. At least one of the plies is made from aramid fiber cords and at least the both edge portions of the belt plies are covered with at least one belt cover ply which has a cord angle of no greater than 30 deg with respect to the circumference of the tire. The belt cover ply is made of organic fiber cords no larger than 0.7 mm in diameter at a picking density of 35 to 90 percent.
