A photographing apparatus comprises an operation unit and a controller. The operation unit has a direct key and an operation key. The operation key is used for setting a function regarding at least one of an image processing operation of an image data obtained by a photographing operation and a storing operation of the image data and is operated more than once for setting the function. The direct key is used for setting the function and is operated only once for setting the function. The controller sets the function corresponding to an operation of the operation key and that sets the function corresponding to one operation of the direct key. When the direct key is operated once, the function is set regardless of a prior function state set by operating the operation key.

Photographing apparatus

A digital camera has a display, a magnification input device, and a magnification control device. The display simultaneously displays images. The magnification input device is used to input the magnification factor for the images displayed in said display. The magnification control device which simultaneously changes the magnification of the images displayed in said display by substantially the same multiplier according to the magnification factor input by said magnification input device.

A digital camera has an image-capturing device, an image processor, and a display. The image-capturing device creates a cleaning image which is used for pinpointing dust particles attached to an image sensor. The image processor creates an inverted cleaning image so that the top and bottom of a subject image provided on the image sensor match the top and bottom of a subject image included in the cleaning image. The display displays the inverted cleaning image.

Each optical system has an objective lens having a positive power and an eyepiece having a negative power arranged in that order from the object side in. The optical center of at least one eyepiece is positioned outside of a line connecting the center of rotation of the eye and the object point.

A video endoscope system including a light guide for transmitting light emitted from a light source to illuminate an observation field of an endoscope, and a device for controlling the luminous flux of light supplied to the light guide from the light source. A solid-state imaging device forms an image of the observation field, and a processor processes an image signal output from the solid-state imaging device. In addition, a color tone correcting device divides the image to be processed by the processor into a plurality of regions and makes color tone correction with respect to each of the regions according to the control condition of the luminous flux control device.

An objective lens for an endoscope includes a first lens group of a positive power having a plurality of lenses, and a second lens group of a negative power. The first lens group is provided with a negative first lens located adjacent to an object to be photographed. The objective lens meets the requirements defined by (1) 0.6&lt;f.sub.F /f&lt;1.0, (2)-6.0&lt;f.sub.s /f&lt;-1.0, and (3) 1.0&lt;L.sub.D /f&lt;4.0, where f.sub.F designates a focal length of the first lens group, f.sub.s designates a focal length of the second lens group, f designates a focal length of the whole lens system, and L.sub.D designates a sum of the whole lens length and back focal distance.
