A printing operation assisting device for assisting a printing operation performed by a solder printer configured to print a solder cream on a substrate surface, including: a measure determining portion configured to determine a remedial measure against a deterioration of a print quality specified on the basis of print-result information obtained from an inspecting machine configured to inspect a print result by the printer, in accordance with a kind of the print-quality deterioration; and a measure issuing portion configured to issue a command relating to the remedial measure determined by the measure determining portion to at least one of the printer and its operator, wherein the measure determining portion is configured to determine a remedial measure against a certain print-quality deterioration and to redetermine another remedial measure different from the previously determined remedial measure where the deteriorated print quality is not improved by execution of the previously determined measure.

A method for controlling a board stopping position includes a calculation step for calculating an extended length of the electronic component mounted on the board and extended from the board end portion in the transfer direction by one of the electronic component mounting machines; and a correcting and stopping step for correcting a stopping timing of the conveyer belt to be stopped in response to the detection signal which is outputted from the board sensor and stopping the board at the mounting position, based on the calculated extended length of the electronic component in a subsequent stage electronic component mounting machine arranged subsequent to the one of the electronic component mounting machines.

A board printing system is provided with a printing apparatus for printing solder paste on each board, a printing inspection apparatus for inspecting a printed state of solder paste on each board, a transfer device for transferring each board in a forward direction from an unloading portion of the printing apparatus to a loading portion of the printing inspection apparatus, a reversible feed holding device configured to be able to hold a failure board which was taken out from the loading portion of the printing inspection apparatus as a result of being judged by the printing inspection apparatus to be rejected, after feeding the failure board in a reverse direction and then, to load the failure board to the loading portion of the printing inspection apparatus by feeding the failure board in the forward direction, and a selection device for enabling the transfer device and the reversible feed holding device to be used selectively.

A method of examining a position of at least one board-support pin which is positioned on a board-support base for supporting a printed-circuit board under a back surface thereof, the method including the steps of taking an image of the board-support pin, at a position opposed to a free end of the pin, judging whether the position of the board-support pin is appropriate, based on the taken image, and producing judgment information indicative of a result of the judgment.
