A particulate chromatic resin composition comprises an unused thermoplastic resin component, a chromatic pigment and a white pigment, or a particulate white resin composition comprises an unused thermoplastic resin component, a white pigment and a black pigment, in which a sheet made from resin composition shows a relationship between a lightness and a light transmittance satisfying the following condition:1300&#x2266;()&#x2266;4000wherein L* means a lightness of a sheet of 3 mm thick having been made of the resin composition, and B means a total light transmittance in terms of % of a sheet of 50 &#x3bc;m thick having been made of the resin composition.

Particulate chromatic resin composition

[Problems] To produce a resin composition from a waste plastic material composed of a major portion of a thermoplastic resin and a small amount of incompatible solid foreign material. [Means for solving problems] A reclaimed resin composition which is produced by mixing a pulverized waste plastic material containing a major portion of a thermoplastic resin and a small amount of a non-thermoplastic solid foreign material with a light-shielding component and a light-shielding filler to give a mixture and melting the mixture under heating, and a sheet made from which shows a relationship between a lightness and a light transmittance satisfying the following condition:()&#x2266;4000wherein A means a lightness of a sheet of 3 mm thick having been made of the reclaimed resin composition, and B means a total light transmittance (%) of a sheet of 50 &#x3bc;m thick having been made of the resin composition.

Reclaimed resin composition produced from pulverized waste plastic material containing solid foreign materials

A resin composition for automotive exterior applications, which comprises 50 to 70% by weight of crystalline propylene-ethylene block copolymer, 18 to 25% by weight of elastomeric polymer and 15 to 25% by weight of inorganic filler. The elastomeric polymer is a mixture of a copolymer rubber produced from ethylene and an &#x3b1;-olefin having 6 or more carbon atoms, an ethylene-&#x3b1;-olefin-nonconjugated polyene random copolymer, and a hydrogenated styrene-conjugated diene block copolymer. This resin composition exhibits excellent processibility, and possesses good balance of physical properties including flexural modulus, impact resistance, hardness and brittleness temperature. The moldings fabricated from it gives good appearance free of any remarkable flow mark or weld mark on the surface.

Resin composition for automotive exterior parts

A polypropylene resin composition having excellent rigidity, impact resistance and formability (moldability) and thus useful for the interior parts of automobile, includes (A) a crystalline E/P block copolymer containing a fraction Ac soluble in p-xylene at room temperature and having an ethylene content of 18 to 22%; (B) a crystalline E/P block copolymer containing a fraction Bc soluble in p-xylene at room temperature and having an ethylene content of 27 to 40% and (C) talc particles having an average size of 3 to 5 .mu.m and largest size less than 20 .mu.m, in which composition, (a) the p-xylene-soluble fractions Ac and Bc are in contents As and Bs based on the total weight of the copolymers (A) and (B) and satisfying As+Bs=7 to 17% by weight and As/(A +Bs)=0.1 to 0.6; (b) an isotactic pentad fraction of propylene in each of copolymers (A) and (B) is 96% or more, and the mixture of the copolymers (A) and (B) has a MFR of 20 to 35 g/10 min at 230.degree. C. under 2160 g load; and (c) the copolymers (A) and (B) are in a total weight content of 50 to 95% and talc (C) is in a weight content of 5 to 50%.

Polypropylene resin composition

A polypropylene resin composition comprising the following components (A), (B), (C) and (D): (A) a crystalline ethylene-propylene block copolymer containing a room-temperature-p-xylene-soluble fraction Ac having an ethylene content of 12-26% by weight and an intrinsic viscosity (measured at 135.degree. C. in decalin) of 6 dl/g or more, (B) a crystalline ethylene-propylene block copolymer containing a room-temperature-p-xylene-soluble fraction Bc having an ethylene content of 27-50% by weight and an intrinsic viscosity (measured at 135.degree. C. in decalin) of 4 dl/g or less, (C) an ethylene-.alpha.-olefin copolymer obtained by polymerization using a single-site catalyst, having a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of 2.5 or less, a melt flow ratio (MI.sub.10 /MI.sub.2.16) of 6-15 (wherein MI.sub.10 is a melt index measured at 190.degree. C. under a load of 10 kg and MI.sub.2.16 is a melt index measured at 190.degree. C. under a load of 2.16 kg) and an .alpha.-olefin proportion of 70 mole % or less, and (D) a talc having an average particle diameter of 3-7 .mu.m as measured by laser diffraction. In the composition the weight ratios As and Bs of the room-temperature-p-xylene-soluble fractions Ac and Bc to the total weight of the components (A) and (B) satisfy the following formulas (1) and (2):

Polyproplylene resin composition

Disclosed is a polypropylene resin composition for car interior fittings, comprising (a) a crystalline polypropylene, (b) particular hydrogenated block copolymer(s), (c) particular hydrogenated block copolymer(s) different from (b), and (d) a particular talc.

Polypropylene resin composition for car interior fittings

A polypropylene resin composition having a high moldability and capable of forming therefrom shaped articles having excellent surface hardness, thermal deformation resistance and low temperature impact resistance includes (A) 35-74 wt % of a crystalline ethylene-propylene block copolymer with an ethylene content of 0.5-15 wt %, an isotactic pentad fractional propylene of 96% or more and a MFR of 40-80 g/10 min. (230.degree. C., 2160 g); (B) 21-40 wt % of an ethylene-.alpha.-olefin copolymer produced by using a single site catalyst and having an .alpha.-olefin content of 70 mol % or more, a ratio (Mw/Mn) of 2.5 or less, and a ratio (MI.sub.10 /MI.sub.2.16) of 6 to 15; and (C) 5-25 wt % of a talc particle component having an average particle size of 3-7 .mu.m.

Polypropylene resin composition for exterior parts of automobile

A reinforced polypropylene resin composition contains the following components (A), (B) and (C) in amounts of 67 to 82% by weight of, 6 to 12% by weight and 12 to 21% by weight, respectively: Component (A): crystalline ethylene-propylene block copolymer having an ethylene content of 2 to 4% by weight, a molecular distribution of polypropylene component (Q=M.sub.w /M.sub.n) of at least 7, isotacticity of polypropylene component of at least 98%, an intrinsic viscosity (decalin, 135.degree. C.) of room temperature p-xylene soluble content of at least 6 dl/g, a melt flow rate (MFR) of 3 to 15 g/10 minutes, and the product of flexural modulus at room temperature and Izod impact strength at room temperature of at least 120000. Component (B): at least one elastomer selected from the group of consisting of (a) hydrogenated block copolymer rubbers each comprising block (I) composed of an aromatic vinyl compound copolymer and block (II) composed of a conjugated diene copolymer, and having a bonding structure of I-II or I-(II-I).sub.n (wherein n=1 or 2), wherein block (I) is contained in an amount of 10 to 40% by weight of the copolymer and is hydrogenated in an amount of 10 mol % or less, and block (II) is contained in an amount of 60 to 90% by weight of the copolymer and is hydrogenated in an amount of at least 90 mol %; and (b) ethylene-.alpha.-olefin copolymer rubbers each containing 30 to 95% by weight of ethylene. Component (C): talc having an average particle size of 3 to 5 .mu.m, which is measured by a laser diffraction method, a BET specific surface area of 5 to 13 m.sup.2 /g, and a top cut size of less than 20 .mu.m.

Reinforced polypropylene resin composition

The polypropylene resin composition of the present invention comprises specific proportions of a crystalline ethylene-propylene block copolymer, an hydrogenated block copolymer, an amorphous ethylene-propylene copolymer, surface-treated talc, fibrous magnesium oxysulfate of granular form and a metal soap. This resin composition is well balanced in rigidity and impact resistance, has good mar resistance, and can be preferably used in large-sized parts for automobiles, particularly instrument panels for automobiles.

A polypropylene thermoplastic resin composition comprising (a) a modified crystalline polypropylene of a crystalline polypropylene comprising said modified crystalline polypropylene and (b) a modified polyamide obtained by partially or wholly grafting a polyamide with a clay mineral. A polypropylene thermoplastic resin composition comprising, in addition to the above polypropylene thermoplastic resin composition comprising the components (a) and (b), one or any combination of the following components (c), (d) and (e): (c) an ethylene-.alpha.-olefin copolymer rubber or a modified ethylene-.alpha.-olefin copolymer rubber, (d) a block copolymer between a monovinyl-substituted aromatic hydrocarbon and a conjugated diene, a hydrogenation product of said block copolymer, or a modification product of said block copolymer, and (e) an inorganic filler. The modified polyamide as the component (b), obtained by modifying a polyamide with a clay mineral has good compatibility with or good dispersibility in the component (a), i.e. the modified crystalline polypropylene or the crystalline polypropylene comprising the modified crystalline polypropylene. Therefore, the polypropylene thermoplastic resin composition comprising these components (a) and (b) has excellent heat resistance and excellent impact resistance.

A polypropylene resin composition comprising:

A fibrous magnesium oxysulfate of granular form according to the present invention has an apparent specific gravity of 0.13-0.25, an oil absorption of 250-600 ml/100 g, a fiber diameter of 0.1-2.0 .mu.m and a fiber length of 10-100 .mu.m. The thermoplastic resin composition obtained by incorporating the magnesium oxysulfate into a thermoplastic resin has good properties and good appearance.

Fibrous magnesium oxysulfate of granular form and a method of producing

A polypropylene resin composition obtained by mixing a crystalline ethylene-propylene block copolymer, an amorphous ethylene-propylene copolymer, talc and fibrous magnesium oxysulfate and then, at the time of melt-kneading the mixture, adding a metal soap to the mixture, retains the fiber length of the fibrous magnesium oxysulfate and has high rigidity with the addition of a small amount of the metal soap.
