A vehicle driving apparatus includes a rotating electrical machine and an engagement device, which are disposed on a power transmission path linking an input member drive-coupled to an internal combustion engine and an output member drive-coupled to a wheel. The engagement device includes an engagement input coupled to the input member, an engagement output that forms a pair with the engagement input and is coupled to the rotating electrical machine, a friction member disposed between the engagement input and the engagement output, and a pressing member that presses the friction member in a pressing direction. An oil pressure chamber is formed between the pressing member and either the engagement input or the engagement output. A biasing spring biases the pressing member in the pressing direction when no oil pressure is supplied to the oil pressure chamber and is disposed on an exterior of the oil pressure chamber.

Vehicle driving apparatus

A rotary electric drive device for a vehicle configured to couple a combustion engine to a wheel. The drive device includes an engagement device selectively drivingly connecting the input member with the rotary electric machine and a fluid coupling. The engagement device includes a differential pressure generating chamber that receives oil supply so as to apply hydraulic pressure to a side of the pressing member opposite to a side to which hydraulic pressure for operation is applied. A body portion housing chamber housing a body portion of the fluid coupling and the differential pressure generating chamber are structured as oil chambers independent of each other. The drive device includes a coupling supply oil passage supplying oil to the body portion housing chamber and a differential pressure supply oil passage supplying the oil to the differential pressure generating chamber.

Vehicle drive device

A power transmission device has a rigid body that includes a contact portion coming into contact with the first or second friction member and that moves the contact portion from a position of contact with the first or second friction member to a position of no contact with the first and second friction members, an elastic body that applies to the rigid body a force moving the contact portion to a position of contact with the first or second friction member, a first pushing mechanism that applies to the rigid body a pressure of liquid moving the contact portion to a position of contact with the first or second friction member, and a second pushing mechanism that applies to the rigid body a pressure of liquid moving the contact portion to a position of no contact with the first and second friction members.

Power transmission device

A vehicle drive device, having a case with a support wall that extends at least radially, and an axially protruding portion that is cylindrically shaped integrally with the support wall and protrudes axially from the support wall toward a rotating electrical machine. A rotor support member is supported radially and axially so as to be rotatable with respect to the axially protruding portion via a support bearing provided on an outer or inner peripheral surface of the axially protruding portion. The element to be supplied with the oil pressure is positioned on a side axially opposite to the support wall. The vehicle drive device includes a supply oil passage, which is provided inside the support wall and the axially protruding portion, and has an end face opening that is formed in an end face located in a protruding direction of the axially protruding portion.

A vehicle drive device includes an input member coupled to an internal combustion engine; an output member coupled to a wheel; a rotating electrical machine; a fluid coupling; and a case containing at least the rotating electrical machine and the fluid coupling. The fluid coupling includes an input and an output that is paired with the input. The rotating electrical machine includes a rotor and a rotor support that extends radially inward from the rotor in an axial direction with respect to the coupling input, and supports the rotor via a support bearing. A power transmission member is formed by coupling at least the rotor support and the coupling input together so that at least the rotor support and the coupling input rotate together. A movement restricting mechanism restricts axial movement of the power transmission member toward the axial direction.

A transmission device capable of transmitting power applied to an input shaft to an output shaft while changing a speed ratio to a plurality of stages, including a single-pinion type first planetary gear mechanism, a single-pinion type second planetary gear mechanism a third planetary gear mechanism; first clutch and second clutches; and first and second brakes. The first planetary gear mechanism is disposed more toward the input shaft side than the second planetary gear mechanism, and the second planetary gear mechanism is disposed more toward the input shaft side than the third planetary gear mechanism, and the first brake is disposed circumferentially outward of the second planetary gear mechanism so as to at least partially overlap with the second planetary gear mechanism, and the second brake is disposed circumferentially outward of the first planetary gear mechanism so as to at least partially overlap with the first planetary gear mechanism.

Transmission device

In a vehicle driving apparatus including a rotating electrical machine having a rotor and a case housing a power transmission device, a second projecting portion formed on a front cover member of the power transmission device is supported rotatably relative to a first projecting portion formed on a support wall of the case via a support bearing, a positioning fitting portion is provided to position a rotor support member for supporting the rotor relative to the front cover member in the radial direction, a torque transmitting coupling portion is provided on a radial direction outer side of the positioning fitting portion to couple the rotor support member and the front cover member so as to be capable of transmitting torque, and the positioning fitting portion and the torque transmitting coupling portion are respectively disposed to overlap a rotary support portion in an axial direction.

A drive device for a vehicle configured between an internal combustion engine and a wheel. The drive device includes a rotary electric machine, and an engagement device connecting the drive device to the engine by a fluid coupling using hydraulic pressure. A case houses at least a portion of the drive device and includes a support wall extending radially, and a cylindrical projecting portion projecting from the support wall toward a side in an axial second direction that is in a direction opposite to the axial first direction. The engagement device includes an operating oil pressure chamber supplied with the hydraulic pressure. A rotor member of the rotary electric machine is radially supported by the cylindrical projecting portion in a rotatable state via a support bearing. The cylindrical projecting portion is formed with an operating oil supply passage supplying oil to the operating oil pressure chamber.

A transmission device capable of transmitting power applied to an input shaft to an output shaft while changing a speed ratio to a plurality of stages, including a single-pinion type first planetary gear mechanism; a single-pinion type second planetary gear mechanism; a third planetary gear mechanism; a case that accommodates the first, second, and third planetary gear mechanisms; first and second clutches; and first and second brakes. A first carrier of the first planetary gear mechanism and a second ring gear of the second planetary gear mechanism are coupled together through a coupling member that extends circumferentially inward from the second ring gear, and the second ring gear is coupled to a second brake hub that configures the second brake through the first carrier.

A vehicle drive device that includes a speed change mechanism; a fluid transmission device provided closer to an engine attachment side than the speed change mechanism is and including a lock-up clutch; an electric motor having a rotor and a stator and connecting the rotor to an input portion of the fluid transmission device; and an engine power cut-off clutch that transmits or cuts off a driving force of an engine to or from the fluid transmission device.

A vehicle drive device that includes a speed change mechanism; a hydraulic transmission provided closer to an engine attachment side than the speed change mechanism is and including a lock-up clutch; an electric motor having a rotor and a stator and connecting the rotor to an input portion of the hydraulic transmission; and an engine power cut-off clutch that transmits or cuts off a driving force of an engine to or from the hydraulic transmission.
