A blower includes a centrifugal fan and a partition wall disposed in a suction space in the centrifugal fan. The partition wall has a base portion extending along a fan central axis to partition the suction space into a first space for a first fluid and a second space for a second fluid. The partition wall has an enlarged portion connected to an end of the base portion on another side of the fan central axis. The enlarged portion covers a part of a fan boss. A clearance passage is defined between the enlarged portion and the fan boss and has a first space side opening and a second space side opening. The enlarged portion is biased in the suction space to the second space such that a pressure at the second space side opening is less than a pressure at the first space side opening.

Blower

A vehicular air conditioning device includes an air conditioning case having first, second case introduction ports and first, second case discharge ports, and a fan. The first, second case discharge ports are offset upward and downward in an up-down direction relative to a rotation axis, respectively. A first inner guide surface of an inner guide plate is located on the one side of a second inner guide surface in the left-right direction. Air introduced through the first case introduction port is guided by the first inner guide surface to be drawn from a first passage into the fan, the air being blown upward to flow through the first case discharge port. Air introduced through the second case introduction port is guided by the second inner guide surface to be drawn from a second passage into the fan, the air being blown upward to flow through the second case discharge port.

Vehicular air conditioning device

In a vehicle air conditioner, a cooling heat exchanger for cooling air is arranged in the air conditioning case, and a cooling/heating switching heat exchanger is arranged at a downstream air side of the cooling heat exchanger in the air conditioning case. A first bypass passage is provided at one side of the cooling heat exchanger in the air conditioning case, so that air flows through the first bypass passage while bypassing the cooling heat exchanger. A second bypass passage is provided at one side of the cooling/heating switching heat exchanger in the air conditioning case on an opposite side of the first bypass passage with respect to the first heat exchanger, so that air flows through the second bypass passage while bypassing the cooling/heating switching heat exchanger. Accordingly, a size of the air conditioner can be effectively decreased while a maximum cooling capacity can be sufficiently obtained.

Vehicular air conditioner

An air-blowing unit includes a blower unit including an irreversible fan, a first blower-side duct connected to an inlet port of the blower unit, a second blower-side duct connected to an air discharge port of the blower unit, a first air opening-side duct including a first air opening, a second air opening-side duct including a second air opening, and an air passage switching device disposed between the blower-side ducts and the air opening-side ducts. The air passage switching device switches air passage connection between the blower-side ducts and the air opening-side ducts.

Air-blowing unit

A vehicle air conditioner includes a main blower and a sub-blower for blowing air into a passenger compartment. The main blower is disposed to blow conditioned air in a front air passage toward a front seat area in the passenger compartment, and the sub-blower is disposed in a rear air passage having an air flow resistance larger than that in the front air passage so that a part of air blown by the main blower is blown by the sub-blower toward a rear seat area in the passenger compartment through the rear air passage. In the air conditioner, an air amount blown by the sub-blower is controlled to be increased in accordance with a decrease of an air amount blown by the main blower. Therefore, automatic control of the air amount blown by the sub-blower can be accurately performed.

A heater for an air conditioner includes plural water tubes and plural refrigerant tubes which are arranged in parallel in an air flow direction. Therefore, the heater can heat air by using at least one of the heating sources while a pressure loss in the heater can be effectively reduced. For example, in a quick-heating mode, high-temperature refrigerant from a refrigerant cycle flows into the heater to heat the blown air, and low-temperature engine-cooling water from an engine bypasses the heater. In this case, thermal leakage from the refrigerant to the engine-cooling water is avoided.

Heater with two different heat sources and air conditioner using the same

In an air passage switching device, a flexible film moves to traverse an air passage of an air duct, thereby switching and controlling a communication state of the air passage. A thickness t of the film, a glass transition temperature Tg thereof and a radius of curvature r thereof are set so that a relationship expressed by a formula of t&lE;(0.00578&times;Tg &times;r ) is satisfied and a bending stiffness of the film is set equal to or higher than 1 &mgr;N&middot;m . Accordingly, the film can be restricted from being buckling-deformed and from being damaged. As a result, an air leakage amount from a clearance between the film and the air passage due to the deformation can be effectively restricted.

Air passage switching device

In an air passage opening/closing device for an air conditioner, a slide door for opening and closing an opening portion of a case includes a flexible film member having a free top end that moves forward by pushing force in a door moving direction. A movement of the film member is guided along a guide ditch. The guide ditch is provided so that the film member is approached to a seal surface in a direction perpendicular to a door moving direction, in comparison with the other seal surface on a peripheral portion of the opening portion. For example, a pushing member for pushing the film member to the seal surface in the direction perpendicular to the door moving direction can be provided. Accordingly, air leakage due to a bending habit of the film member can be restricted.

Air passage opening/closing device and vehicle air conditioner using the same

A ventilation controlling apparatus using a slide door made of a flexible film member to solve imperfect slide action attributable to film member rigidity degradation on the fringe of an aperture. The slide door is movably disposed inside a casing which forms an air passage, and the slide door is composed of the flexible film member provided with an air-circulation aperture. Ventilation of the air passage is controlled by varying an area of blending or connection between the aperture and the air passage in accordance with movement of the slide door. A rigid support member is fitted around the fringe of the aperture on the film member, thereby enhancing rigidity of the aperture fringe.

Ventilation controlling apparatus and automotive air-conditioning system

In a vehicle air conditioner, an air conditioning case has a front air passage and a rear air passage through which air is blown to a front seat side and a rear seat side in a passenger compartment, respectively. The air conditioner includes an air-blowing amount determination unit for determining an air-blowing amount of a blower, and a correction unit for increasing the air-blowing amount determined by the determination unit when the rear air passage is opened. The correction unit increases an increase amount of the air-blowing amount to be larger in a face mode, than that in a bi-level mode.

Vehicle air conditioner with front air passage and rear air passage

A vehicle air conditioning flow apparatus is constructed of a heat exchanger that heats and cools air that is directed along an air flow path ultimately directed through openings and at vehicle occupants. The air passes through a face outlet having shaft mounted doors that open and close the face outlet to direct air at an occupant's head and a foot outlet having shaft mounted doors to direct air at an occupant's feet. Furthermore, a case has the face outlet and the foot outlet formed in it while a face door has a peripheral plate that opens and closes the face outlet. The face door has a connection plate that connects the peripheral plate and the shaft. The peripheral plate may have a length extending from a point of rotation to allow the face outlet to close within a range of positions.
