A shock absorbing member of the present disclosure is a shock absorbing member including a first hollow member () and a second hollow member () that are made of aluminum alloy and are weld joined to each other, in which a weld material and weld beads (W) do not project from a side on which a joined surface between the first hollow member () and the second hollow member () is located.

Shock-absorbing member

A bumper structural body () includes a bumper reinforcement (), energy absorbing members (), and intermediate members (). The sloped sections () of the bumper reinforcement () are connected to the energy absorbing members () and the intermediate members (). The intermediate members () are each formed in a quadrilateral by connecting a first portion () contacting the energy absorbing member (), a second portion () contacting the bumper reinforcement (), and portions connecting the first portion () and the second portion ().

Bumper structural body

A vehicle body front structure includes: a front pillar that includes an A-pillar provided to extend in an up-down direction, an A'-pillar provided to extend in the up-down direction in the rear of the A-pillar, and a lower frame disposed between lower ends of the A-pillar and the A&#x2032;-pillar; and a bracket connected to the lower end of the A-pillar and provided to extend frontward from the lower end of the A-pillar. In the vehicle body front structure, strength of the bracket is set to be lower than strength of the A-pillar.

Vehicle body front structure

An object of the present invention is to provide a vehicle body structure which does not require a specification for attaching an elongated member to the vehicle body frame when attaching the elongated member and does not require time and effort for attaching the elongated member. The vehicle body structure includes a bumper beam, an extension member disposed between the bumper beam and a vehicle body frame and having a space therein, and an elongated member disposed in the space and absorbing an impact received from the bumper beam side. One end of the elongated member is connected to the bumper beam, and the other end thereof is connected to the extension member.

Vehicle body structure

A vehicle body side frame is a member that absorbs applied impact load by bending under the impact load. The vehicle body side frame includes plural ultrahigh strength portions provided at intervals along a longitudinal direction, and plural high strength portions interposed between the plural ultrahigh strength portions. A tensile strength of the ultrahigh strength portions exceeds 1400 MPa, and a tensile strength of the high strength portions is from 500 MPa to 1000 MPa. The high strength portions are formed with a sheet thickness greater than that of the ultrahigh strength portions. A front stress concentrating portion, a central stress concentrating portion, and a rear stress concentrating portion are respectively formed to a front high strength portion, a central high strength portion, and a rear high strength portion.

Vehicle body side frame

A vehicle front structure includes a first bending portion, a second bending portion, and a third bending portion in a left front side frame. An outer panel of the first bending portion includes a first concave portion. An inner panel of the second bending portion includes a second concave portion. The third bending portion is formed to be concave toward an interior. An inner central wall of the inner panel extends flat to the rear side of the vehicle body toward the second bending portion. A left branch gusset extends to tilt from the inner central wall, and the outer panel is joined to a rear surface of the left branch gusset.

Vehicle front structure

A vehicle body front structure includes left and right extension side mount members that are provided at rear ends of left and right bumper beam extensions of a front bumper beam and left and right front side frames whose front ends are coupled with the left and right extension side mount members, respectively. The vehicle body front structure further includes left and right gussets that are positioned on left and right corners between outer surfaces in a vehicle width direction of rear end portions of the left and right bumper beam extensions and the left and right extension side mount members, respectively. The left and right gussets are joined to the left and right bumper beam extensions, respectively. Strength of the left and right gussets is higher than strength of the left and right bumper beam extensions.

There is provided a vehicle body front structure including left and right mounting brackets provided at the rear ends of left and right bumper beam extensions of a front bumper beam, and left and right frame side mounting members connecting the rear ends of the left and right mounting brackets. The left and right frame side mounting members are provided at the front ends of left and right front side frames. The left and right mounting brackets are formed into an almost L shape by horizontal plate-like left and right joint plate portions and vertical plate-like left and right flanges, and each of the left and right mounting brackets is located on at least one of the upper surface and the lower surface of each of the left and right bumper beam extensions.

A vehicle body floor structure for an automobile, includes a joint line extending in a vehicle width direction and connecting a rear edge of a dashboard lower panel and a front edge of a front floor panel, a side sill extending in a front-rear direction and connected to an outer edge in the vehicle width direction of each of the dashboard lower panel and the front floor panel, a floor frame member extending in the front-rear direction and connected to the dashboard lower panel and an upper surface of the front floor panel on a side inward of the side sill in the vehicle width direction, and a floor gusset extending in the vehicle width direction, connecting the side sill and the floor frame member, and disposed on the upper surface of the front floor panel along the joint line.

Vehicle body floor structure for automobile

On each of left and right sides of a vehicle body, a gusset is provided spaced in a rearward direction of a vehicle body from the distal end of a front side frame by a predetermined distance, a tension member extends between and interconnects the distal end of the front side frame and an outer end portion of the gusset so as to prevent the gusset from peeling off the front side frame, and a mounting plate spans between and interconnects the respective front ends of an inner bumper beam extension extending forward from the front end of the front side frame and an outer bumper beam extension extending forward from the front end of an upper member. A bumper beam is joined to the mounting plates on the left and right sides of the vehicle body.
