A fluid device includes: a flow path through which a fluid flows; and an ultrasonic wave application device including an ultrasonic element that transmits an ultrasonic wave, in which the flow path has, as flow path wall surfaces, an ultrasonic wave application surface that applies, to the fluid, the ultrasonic wave transmitted from the ultrasonic element, and a reflection surface that reflects the ultrasonic wave applied to the fluid from the ultrasonic wave application surface, and the reflection surface has a concave curved surface shape.

Fluid device

A fluid device includes a flow path through which a fluid flows, and an ultrasonic element that transmits an ultrasonic wave to the fluid to generate a standing wave in the fluid in the flow path along a first direction orthogonal to a flowing direction of the fluid. The ultrasonic element includes a vibrator having a fluid contact surface that comes into contact with the fluid, and a piezoelectric element that is provided at the vibrator and that flexurally vibrates the vibrator in a normal direction of the fluid contact surface. When a thickness of the vibrator in the normal direction is t, a sound velocity of a medium of the fluid is C, an average sound velocity of a longitudinal wave transmitted in the vibrator is C′, a dimension of the flow path in the first direction is L, and a mode order of the standing wave is n, the following expression is satisfied.

A liquid crystal display device according to FFS technology is provided, which sufficiently provides a common electrode with common electric potential and improves an aperture ratio of pixels. A pixel electrode is formed of a first layer transparent electrode. A common electrode made of a second layer transparent electrode is formed above the pixel electrode interposing an insulation film between them. The common electrode in an upper layer is provided with a plurality of slits. The common electrode extends over all the pixels in a display region. An end of the common electrode is disposed on a periphery of the display region and connected with a peripheral common electric potential line that provides a common electric potential Vcom. There is provided neither an auxiliary common electrode line nor a pad electrode, both of which are provided in a liquid crystal display device according to a conventional art.

Display device

A liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate, a second substrate and liquid crystal. The first substrate includes pixel electrodes, a peripheral circuit and a dummy wiring. The peripheral circuit and the dummy wiring are provided outside a pixel area in which the pixel electrodes are arranged. The second substrate is opposed to the first substrate through the liquid crystal. The second substrate includes a translucent conductive film that is provided on an opposite side of the second substrate to a side where the liquid crystal is present. The dummy wiring is located on an outer peripheral side of the substrates than the peripheral circuit and is provided independently of the peripheral circuit in terms of circuit. The dummy wiring is grounded outside the first substrate.

Liquid crystal display device having improved electrostatic discharge resistance

A fluid device includes: a flow path through which a fluid flows; and an ultrasonic wave transmitter configured to transmit an ultrasonic wave to generate a standing wave to the fluid in the flow path along a first direction orthogonal to a flowing direction of the fluid. The ultrasonic wave transmitter is in contact with the fluid and faces an antinode region corresponding to any antinode in the standing wave.

A fluid device includes: a flow path through which a fluid flows; a pressure chamber spaced apart from the flow path in a first direction (Y direction) orthogonal to a flowing direction of the fluid in the flow path; a communication path that is formed along the Y direction and that communicates the flow path with the pressure chamber; and an ultrasonic wave transmitter configured to transmit ultrasonic waves to the fluid in the pressure chamber to generate a standing wave along the Y direction in the flow path.

A piezoelectric actuator includes a vibrating plate including a first surface that closes an opening provided in a substrate and a second surface in which a plurality of piezoelectric elements is provided, a suppression part configured to suppress a vibration of the vibrating plate, and a first wall and a second wall protruding from the first surface to the opening. When a portion where the first electrode, the piezoelectric layer and the second electrode overlap each other is an active part of the piezoelectric element, the first wall and the second wall are provided to sandwich the active part in plan view from the stacking direction of the first electrode, the piezoelectric layer and the second electrode, and the second wall is different from the first wall at least in one of the width, height, length and physical property.

A fluid device includes: a flow main body including a side wall along a first axis and configured to flow a fluid from an inflow portion provided at one side of the first axis toward an outflow portion provided at the other side of the first axis; a plate provided at the other side of the first axis of the flow main body and having a first surface intersecting the first axis; a standing wall extending along the first axis from the first surface toward the one side of the first axis and having a length along the first axis shorter than the side wall; and an ultrasonic element disposed at an outer side of a collection region of the plate and configured to transmit an ultrasonic wave along the first axis when the standing wall and a region surrounded by the standing wall on the first surface are defined as the collection region.

A fibrous body accumulating device includes an accumulating section including a drum that introduces and releases a material including fibers, a detection section detecting a presence of the material in the drum, and an estimation section estimating an amount of the material in the drum based on a detection frequency at which the detection section detects the material. The fibrous body accumulating device further includes a storage section in which a calibration curve showing a relationship between the detection frequency and the amount of the material in the drum is stored, and the estimation section calculates information on the detection frequency and estimates the amount of the material in the drum with reference to the calibration curve.

An ultrasonic wave measuring device including an ultrasonic wave device and a processor. The ultrasonic wave device transmits transmission ultrasonic waves toward an object, receives reflected ultrasonic waves, and outputs reception signals. The processor is configured to: detect a transmission time; detect zero-crossing points of the reception signals; detect zero-crossing times; calculate periods of time between the transmission time and each of the zero-crossing times; compare a reference period of time with each of the calculated periods of time so as to generate difference values therebetween; determine a minimum value among the difference values; and set a corresponding zero-crossing point having the minimum value as a reception zero-crossing point. The ultrasonic wave measuring device is configured to measure a distance toward the object based on the period of time between the zero-crossing time corresponding to the reception zero-crossing point and the transmission time.

Ultrasonic wave measuring device and ultrasonic wave measuring method

An ultrasonic device includes nine ultrasonic array units arranged in a grid pattern of three rows and three columns, nine drive bypass wires that input and output drive signals to and from the respective ultrasonic array units, a first common bypass wire to which a common potential is applied, coupled to the eight ultrasonic array units, a second common bypass wire coupled to the ultrasonic array unit to which the first common bypass wire is not coupled, and a third common bypass wire coupling the first and the second common bypass wires. One of the drive bypass wires, the first common bypass wire, and the second common bypass wire is placed between the ultrasonic array units placed adjacent to each other. The third common bypass wire is placed inside of the ultrasonic array unit placed adjacent to the ultrasonic array unit coupled to the second common bypass wire.
