A long-period vibration sensor includes an overdamped accelerometer including a magnet fixed to the inside of a casing, a detection coil disposed between magnetic poles formed due to the magnet, a bobbin configured to hold the detection coil, and a support spring configured to support the bobbin in the casing so that the bobbin can vibrate in a predetermined direction, a voltage being outputted from the detection coil when the bobbin is damped, a plurality of digital filters having different frequency characteristics from one another, a selection module configured to select one digital filter from the plurality of digital filters based on an output value of the voltage outputted from the overdamped accelerometer, and a correction module configured to correct the output value of the voltage outputted from the overdamped accelerometer using the digital filter selected by the selection module.

Long-period vibration sensor and method for correcting output value of the long-period vibration sensor

A movable plate is provided to a pendulum displaceable by external vibration. A fixed plate is provided to a position opposite to the movable plate. A displacement detector detects an electrostatic capacitance between the plates. A servo amplifier supplies to a force coil, a current in an amount associated with the detection result. A current circuit and a load resistor of the force coil convert the current into a detection signal and output the signal. When the movable plate and the fixed plates, which are conducted to each other, are contacted, the electrostatic capacitance between the plates is removed. A processor detects a change in the detection signal due to the removal of the electrostatic capacitance, and then determines that the plates are contacted.

Servo-type vibration detector

A hardness testing apparatus comprises a sample table mounting a sample thereon, a loading arm having an indentor at its free end, a loading arm operation controlling unit, an electromagnetic brake. When the same is elevated and brought into contact with the indentor, the loading arm is moved upwardly. The loading arm operation controlling unit calculates a predetermined force to be applied to the sample in response to a displacement from a reference position of the loading arm when and after the sample is brought into contact with the indentor. The loading arm is moved upwardly such that a predetermined force calculated by the loading arm operating controlling unit is applied to the sample. The electromagnetic brake controls an elevating operation of the sample table. A direction of a current supplied to the electromagnetic brake is inverted at a predetermined timing.
