A rotation transmission device having a high torque measurement resolution is provided. The rotation transmission device is provided with: a rotary-shaft unit () having a first and second rotary shaft () combined so as to be coaxial and such that the end sections thereof can rotate relative to each other and a torsion bar () that is provided on the inner-diameter side of the first and second rotary shafts so as to be coaxial therewith, has one end section connected to the first rotary shaft (), and has the other end section connected to the second rotary shaft (); a first gear () fastened to the outer peripheral surface of the first rotary shaft (); a second gear () fastened to the outer peripheral surface of the second rotary shaft (); a coupling shaft () provided on the inner-diameter side of the torsion bar () so as to be coaxial therewith, having one end section connected to one rotary shaft (), and having the other end section protruding from an end of the torsion bar () in the axial direction; a first encoder disposed and fixed on the other end of the coupling shaft () so as to be coaxial with the first rotary shaft () and having a first detected section (); a second encoder fastened on the other end of the second rotary shaft () so as to be close to the first encoder and having a second detected section (); and a sensor unit having at least one sensor () that faces the first and second detected sections ().

Rotation transmission device

In order to implement a structure capable of improving the resolution of torque measurement while preventing the plastic deformation of a torsion bar (), an input-side stopper () having an uneven shape (gear shape) in the circumferential direction is provided in a portion of an input-side rotating body () that includes an input shaft () and an input gear (), and an output-side stopper () having an uneven shape (gear shape) in the circumferential direction is provided in a portion of an output-side rotating body () that includes an output shaft () and an output gear (). The input-side stopper () and the output-side stopper () are combined so as to be engaged to be able to transmit torque only when the torsional angle within the elastic range of the torsion bar () reaches a predetermined amount.

Torque measurement device-equipped rotation transmission apparatus

There is provided a resin cage of a tapered roller bearing. The cage includes a small diameter annular portion, a large diameter annular portion, and a plurality of bar portions arranged at intervals in a circumferential direction to connect the annular portions. The bar portion has a pair of circumferentially-directed side surfaces, each having a roller guide surface, and an inner-side inner peripheral surface, a circumferential width of which is smaller on a side of the large diameter annular portion than on a side of the small diameter annular portion, and has a roller retaining region in which a radially outer side pocket width and a radially inner side pocket width between the opposed circumferentially-directed side surfaces of the adjacent bar portions are smaller than a diameter of the roller.

A tapered roller bearing improves durability during a state of insufficient lubrication by sufficiently lengthening the time until rotation becomes impossible due to seizure. Oil retaining concave sections, recessed outward in the radial direction, are formed in portions on the inner circumferential surface of a large-diameter rim section of the retainer whose phase in the circumferential direction coincides with the pockets. A portion of the bottom surface of each of the oil retaining concave sections, open to the inside surface of the pocket, face a concave section formed in an end surface on the large-diameter side of tapered roller that is held inside the pocket. When lubrication becomes insufficient, oil remaining in the concave sections is effectively used for lubricating areas of sliding contact between the end surfaces on the large-diameter side and the inside surface in the axial direction of a large-diameter side flange section.

Tapered roller bearing and manufacturing method for retainer of tapered roller bearing

In forming an actuator, a large end surface of a tapered roller of a tapered roller bearing is shot with minute particles of silicon carbide having a diameter of 0.5 to 100 &#x3bc;m and having an angle formed by crushing, and such a surface is scraped concavely at a diameter within a range from 0.5 to 100 &#x3bc;m to form a large number of concavities having a depth of equal to or greater than 1 &#x3bc;m at a pitch of equal to or less than 200 &#x3bc;m. The concavities are non-continuous and isolated from each other, and serve as a lubricant puddle. The concavities are formed by scraping and not by plastic deformation, and thus the surface is not hardened.

Method for producing an actuator

A rotation support device for a pinion shaft is configured such that, together with being able to sufficiently maintain axial rigidity of a rolling bearing on the side opposite from the pinion gear side, it is able to sufficiently reduce the dynamic torque during operation and the starting torque at the start of operation. Together with using a single-row angular contact ball bearing as the rolling bearing on the side opposite from the pinion gear side, the ratio of the radius of curvature Ro of the outer raceway and the diameter Bd of the balls (Ro/Bd) is regulated within the range 0.52&#x3c;Ro/Bd&#x2266;0.56, and the contact angle &#x3b1; is regulated within the range of 35&#xb0; to 40&#xb0;.
