An automatic transmission includes a main transmission and an auxiliary transmission. The auxiliary transmission includes an auxiliary-transmission-side planetary gear mechanism, a first clutch, and a second clutch. The auxiliary-transmission-side planetary gear mechanism is provided between a pair of main-transmission-side planetary gear mechanisms, and a part of the auxiliary-transmission-side planetary gear mechanism is located within the main transmission. The first clutch fixes rotation of a sun gear of the auxiliary-transmission-side planetary gear mechanism. The second clutch connects a ring gear of the auxiliary-transmission-side planetary gear mechanism with the sun gear.

Automatic transmission

In a coasting control process, an ECU increases line pressure PL of a hydraulic path to predetermined pressure Psuch that discharge pressure of an MOP becomes higher than that before a C1 clutch is disengaged at timing when an executing condition of coasting control is satisfied (time t=t). According to such coasting control process, driving torque of the MOP increases, so that deceleration (deceleration G) caused by driving of the MOP by a drive wheel becomes larger than that in conventional coasting control in which the discharge pressure of the MOP is not increased. As a result, it is possible to inhibit a driver from feeling discomfort due to free-running feeling generated during the coasting control.

Vehicle driving device

A hybrid vehicle includes: an engine including an output shaft configured to output a power; a damper placed on a first axis that is the same axis as the output shaft; a rotating machine placed on the first axis; a torque converter placed on the first axis; a transmission mechanism placed so that an input shaft of the transmission mechanism is positioned on a second axis that is an axis different from the first axis; a case in which the rotating machine and the transmission mechanism are accommodated; driving wheels attached to drive shafts; and an oil accumulated in a lower part of a space surrounded by the case and used for lubrication of the transmission mechanism, the oil being in contact with a part of the rotating machine.

A power transmission unit for a vehicle including a first clutch device that selectively allows a torque transmitting route from an input shaft to an output shaft via a first gear train to transmit torque therethrough, a dog clutch that switches the torque transmitting route from the input shaft to the output shaft between a continuously variable speed change route in which the torque is transmitted through a continuously variable transmission and a reverse route in which the torque is transmitted through a second gear train, and a second clutch device that connects and disconnects both of the continuously variable speed change route and the reverse route to/from at least any one of the input shaft and the output shaft.

Power transmission unit for vehicle

A power transmission unit including a first clutch device that selectively enables and disables a torque transmitting route from an input shaft to an output shaft via a first gear train to transmit torque therethrough, a dog clutch that switches the torque transmitting route from the input shaft to the output shaft between a continuously variable speed change route in which torque is transmitted through a continuously variable transmission and a reverse route in which torque is transmitted through a second gear train, and a second clutch device that selectively enables and disables both of the continuously variable speed change route and the reverse route to transmit torque to the input shaft or the output shaft. The first clutch device and the second clutch device are separately disposed on any of the input shaft and the output shaft in a manner to be situated at different axial positions.

A power transmission unit for a vehicle is provided. In the power transmission unit, a continuously variable transmission to alter a speed ratio continuously is disposed between an input shaft to which a torque of a prime mover is inputted and an output shaft rotated by the torque transmitted from the input shaft. A first gear train that transmits the torque to propel the vehicle in the forward direction is arranged parallel to a second gear train that transmits the torque to propelling the vehicle backwardly. The power transmission unit is comprised of: a first clutch device that selectively allows a torque transmitting route from the input shaft to the output shaft via the first gear train to transmit the torque therethrough; a dog clutch that switches the torque transmitting route from the input shaft to the output shaft between a continuously variable speed change route in which the torque is transmitted through the continuously variable transmission and a reverse route in which the torque is transmitted through the second gear train; and a second clutch device that connects and disconnects both of the continuously variable speed change route and the reverse route to/from at least any one of the input shaft and the output shaft.

A hydraulic control system for an automatic transmission, which has a frictional engagement unit adapted to be kept in a slipping state when in a predetermined speed changing state and in an applied state when in another gear ratio changing state; and a drain oil establishing member for establishing a drain oil when the frictional engagement unit is kept in the slipping state comprises a drain pressure switching mechanism for supplying the drain oil to the frictional face of the frictional engagement unit when the frictional engagement unit is kept in the slipping state.
