Provided is a liquid pump configured to suppress discharge of air from an air pool formed in a discharge-side tank. A discharge-side tank part formed in a housing has a first inner wall surface and a second inner wall surface facing each other in a horizontal direction in an installed position of the liquid pump. The first inner wall surface is formed with a discharge port, and the second inner wall surface is formed with an opening of a discharge-side communicating passage. An air pool is formed in a space in the discharge-side tank part above the opening of the discharge-side communicating passage and the discharge port. A circular cylindrical partition is provided in the discharge-side tank part. The circular cylindrical partition projects from the second inner wall surface toward the first inner wall surface with at least a portion of the cylindrical partition positioned above the opening of the discharge-side communicating passage so as to cover the opening as seen from the air pool side.

Liquid pump

The redox flow secondary battery includes an electrolytic cell including a positive electrode cell, a negative electrode cell, and a separation membrane that separates the positive electrode cell and the negative electrode cell. Moreover, the above described redox flow secondary battery is configured as follows. That is, the separation membrane has a microporous membrane and an ion-exchange resin layer contacting the microporous membrane, and the air resistance of the separation membrane per thickness of 200 &#x3bc;m is 10000 sec/100 cc or more. Furthermore, the microporous membrane includes a polyolefin resin or a vinylidene fluoride resin and an inorganic filler. Further, the smoothness of at least a surface of the microporous membrane contacting the ion-exchange resin layer is 16000 seconds or less.

Separation membrane for redox flow secondary battery and redox flow secondary battery comprising the same

A structure for an ink jet head comprising: an ink passage adapted to be supplied with ink; a nozzle communicating with the ink passage and positioned to have exit deep from the end face of the ink jet head; a hollow portion formed in the head end face to communicate with the nozzle exit and to have a larger diameter than the nozzle; and ink ejecting means disposed to correspond to the ink passage and energized electrically to eject the ink in the ink passage out of the nozzle end face through the hollow portion. As a result, the ink droplets can always be ejected in a correct direction by suppressing the fluctuation of their flowing direction, which might otherwise be caused by the breakage in the periphery of the opening in the head end face or by the ooze of the ink. Thus, the ejection characteristics are uniformed by absorbing the errors due to the cutting or grinding step.

Ink jet head

A method of processing a photosensitive glass includes exposing. Photosensitive glass by radiation from a laser whose oscillation wavelength lies within the range of wavelengths of exposing light to which the glass responds. Then, the exposed portions 1c are thermally developed and etched. Since a laser beam propagates with a high rectilinearity, the front and rear surfaces of thick photosensitive glass can be exposed without producing dimensional errors. Therefore, the etching accuracy is improved. Especially, where the front and rear surfaces of photosensitive glass are etched, both surfaces can be processed so as to form the same shape in them accurately. In addition, because almost all the energy of the laser radiation is used for exposure of the photosensitive glass, the energy is not wasted and so the efficiency is high.

Method of processing photosensitive glass

A projection type liquid crystal display device includes a light source and condenser lenses for emitting two groups of beams of light which orthogonally cross each other. A first device is disposed in the path of one of the groups of beams and comprises a liquid crystal panel and at least one polarization plate to transmit P-wave polarized light. A second device is disposed in a path of the other group of beams of light and comprises a liquid crystal panel and at least one polarization plate to transmit P-wave polarized light. A dichroic mirror disposed to receive light from the first and second devices synthesizes the P-wave polarized light by transmitting P-wave polarized light from the first device and for reflecting the P-wave polarized light from the second device.

Projection type liquid crystal displaying device

Light emitted from a single light source is split into beams of bidirectional parallel light which are orthogonal to each other. Beams of the parallel light in each direction are reflected by a reflection optical system in such a direction that they become orthogonal to each other. A dichroic mirror is disposed at a point of intersection thereof and liquid crystal panels are provided between each individual reflection optical system and the dichroic mirror resulting in a low cost device which can be structurally miniaturized and which requires less process steps in fabrication.

A projection type liquid crystal display device includes a light source and condenser lenses for emitting two beams of light which are orthogonal to each other. One of the light beams passes through a liquid crystal panel of one color, and the other light beam is further divided into two light beams each of which passes through liquid crystal panels of other colors. The three light beams are then synthesized by dichroic mirrors and fed to a projection lens system.
