A wire electrical discharge apparatus includes a wire bobbin on which a wire electrode is wound, a straightening treatment unit to perform straightening treatment on the wire electrode fed from the wire bobbin, a machining power supply to apply a voltage between the wire electrode and a workpiece via a feed terminal set above the workpiece and contacting the wire electrode, and a control unit to control the straightening treatment unit and the machining power supply so as to apply a voltage between the workpiece and the wire electrode that has been subjected to the straightening treatment, to perform electrical discharge machining to form an initial hole in the workpiece.

Wire electrical discharge apparatus and initial hole machining method

An electric discharge machining apparatus includes a power supply, an electrode gap formed from an electrode and a workpiece, a current limiting resistor connected between the power supply and the electrode gap, switching elements that turns on and off application of a voltage from the power supply to the electrode gap, an inductance element connected in series between the switching elements and the electrode gap, and a control unit that controls the switching elements. The control unit causes the switching elements to perform ON/OFF operations according to a switching pattern having an on-pulse time width (&#x394;Ton) in which a voltage of the electrode gap can reach a voltage value of the power supply in an on-pulse time and a pause time width (&#x394;Toff) equal to or longer than a time width (&#x394;tic) of a discharge current flowing during the capacitor discharge and shorter than a cycle (&#x394;Tso) of the self-excited oscillation.

Electric discharge machining apparatus

An electric discharge machining apparatus of the present invention includes a power supply, an electrode gap configured so as to be formed by an electrode and a workpiece, and an earth floating-capacitance current-suppressing coil configured to be inserted between the power supply and the electrode gap. Accordingly, the impedance in the charging path from the power supply to an interelectrode capacitance (an interelectrode parallel capacitor and an interelectrode parallel floating capacitance) can be decreased, and the impedance in the charging path to an earth floating capacitance can be increased, thereby enabling the electric current from the earth floating capacitance during discharge machining to be suppressed.

A monotube or multitube 2 is coupled to a body shell 1 via tube plates 3a and 3b at both ends, so that a tube interior 4 and a tube exterior 5 of the monotube or multitube 2 are isolated from each other. A difference is made in operating pressure between the tube interior 4 and the tube exterior 5, so that one of the tube interior 4 and the tube exterior 5 is used as a lower-pressure column and the other is used as a higher-pressure column. A wall of the tube is used as a heat transfer surface, so that heat is transferred from the higher pressure side (higher temperature side) to the lower pressure side (lower temperature side). Monotubes or multitubes 2 having different diameters are connected to each other via a reducer 20, so that a monotube or multitube 2 whose diameters are varied stepwise is disposed between the tube plates 3a and 3b at the upper and lower ends, thereby increasing the column cross-sectional area as moving from the top to the bottom of the column in the enriching section (tube interior) 4, and decreasing the column cross-sectional area as moving from the top to the bottom of the column in the stripping section (tube exterior) 5.

Heat integrated distillation column

A fluidized-bed denitrating method and a fluidized-bed denitrating device are disclosed which are capable, of effectively denitrating a combustion exhaust gas by oxidizing nitrogen monoxide occupying the major portion of NO.sub.x contained in the combustion exhaust gas to nitrogen dioxide which can be reduced at high reduction reaction rate by the oxygen contained in the combustion exhaust gas, and by reducing the nitrogen dioxide by fine carbon particles adhered to fine particles of a fluid medium. A combustion exhaust gas containing at least nitrogen monoxide and oxygen is introduced into a fluidized bed of a fluid medium consisting of fine particles with fine carbon particles adhered thereto. The fine particles of the fluid medium adsorb the nitrogen monoxide, the nitrogen monoxide is oxidized on the surfaces of the fine particles of the fluid medium to nitrogen dioxide, and the nitrogen dioxide is then decomposed into carbon dioxide and nitrogen by the reducing function of the fine carbon particles. The particle sizes of the fine particles of the fluid medium are in the range of 30 to 500 .mu.m, and the particle sizes of the fine carbon particles are 3 .mu.m or below.

Fluidized-bed denitrating method

Waste materials including chlorine compounds are charged into a fluidized-bed gasification furnace having a first fluidized bed of which fluidizing medium comprises CaO. HCl produced from the waste materials is reacted with CaO which is the fluidizing medium and changed into CaCl.sub.2, and then discharged from a discharge pipe together with unburned materials. Gas generated as a result of the above-described reaction flows together with CaCO.sub.3, which is supplied into a second fluidized bed of a fluidized-bed combustion furnace located above, and are burned within the second fluidized bed. CaO is supplied from the second fluidized bed into the first fluidized bed via a supply pipe. In this manner, HCl produced from the waste materials is effectively removed.

Fluidized-bed incinerator

A plant for manufacturing cement clinker is constituted by the following portions: a suspension preheater for preheating a cement material powder; a spouted-bed type furnace for granulating the preheated cement material powder; a fluidized-bed type furnace for sintering the granulated cement material powder; a cooling system for cooling the granulated and burned product; a plurality of burners disposed at a lower portion of the spouter-bed type furnace so as to oppose to one another such that their ends are directed obliquely upward and direct streams of fuel to converge on a central axis of the spouted bed, thereby to form a local hot region in the spouted bed; a preheated material charging chute disposed slightly above the local hot region and adapted for charging the preheated material powder from the suspension preheater into the spouted-bed type furnace; and a granulated material discharging chute provided on one side of the local hot region.
