An electronic endoscope of the invention includes: an insertion portion to be inserted into a subject; a distal end rigid portion including a distal end portion and a proximal end portion, the distal end rigid portion being made of resin and provided at a distal end portion of the insertion portion; a bending tube made of metal and provided continuously with the distal end rigid portion; objective optical systems provided at the distal end rigid portion; an image pickup unit that picks up images formed by the objective optical systems; an illumination lens barrel made of metal, the illumination lens barrel holding an illumination optical system provided at the distal end rigid portion and being extended in a direction of the proximal end portion; and a first conductive portion that establishes electrical conduction between the bending tube and the illumination lens barrel.

An endoscope includes: an insertion section configured to be inserted into a subject; a bending section disposed on a distal end side of the insertion section and bendable in at least one direction; a distal end member connected to a distal end side of the bending section and having a passage to allow a treatment tool to project from the distal end member; a tube inserted into the bending section to allow the treatment tool to be inserted into the tube and having a recessed portion on an inner surface of a distal end side of the tube; and a connection section having a central axis and having one end fixed to the distal end member to be communicated with the passage, and having a projecting portion at the other end of the connection section, projecting along the central axis so as to be fitted into the recessed portion.

Endoscope

An endoscope includes an insertion portion; an operation portion; a balloon water injection channel; a first opening portion; a balloon pipe sleeve provided with a first end portion and a second end portion; a branch channel connection unit; a rotation restriction portion; and a connecting tube on which the branch channel connection unit is assembled.

A first convex portion is arranged at an outer peripheral portion of a first support portion constituting a distal end portion of an insertion portion, and a protruding amount of the first convex portion is set such that an outer peripheral length of the distal end portion including the first convex portion is smaller than an outer peripheral length determined based on a distal end outer diameter as an effective outer diameter of the distal end portion, to thereby ensure durability without an unnecessary increase in a size of the distal end portion and improve insertability of the distal end portion into a subject.

A holding frame made of a material to bear a greater shear stress than a distal end portion rigid portion (a distal end portion) is adhered and fixed to the distal end rigid portion in a state where one end face is exposed from an inclined surface, and an image guide and a light guide are held through the holding frame. In addition, a groove is provided on a side surface of the holding frame and one end of the groove is exposed on a distal end face (the inclined surface) of the distal end rigid portion, to thereby realize downsizing of the distal end portion without lowering durability and improve repairability.

An ultrasound endoscope includes: a bending portion; a distal end rigid portion which is located on a distal end side with respect to the bending portion; and a connection portion making up the distal end rigid portion, for connecting the ultrasound observation section with the bending portion, wherein the connection portion is inclined with respect to a central axis of the bending portion, an interface between the connection portion and the bending portion is perpendicular to the central axis, and the connection portion has a swept shape which is obtained by making a cross-section of the interface slide in a direction perpendicular to the central axis while keeping the perpendicularity along a straight line intersecting with the central axis.

Ultrasound endoscope

An ultrasound endoscope having an ultrasound probe that is provided at a rigid portion at a distal end of an insertion portion, a cable that transmits electrical signals to and from the ultrasound probe, and a rigid flexible substrate that is interposed between the ultrasound probe and the cable to transmit the electrical signals, and configures a part of a planar member in which a plurality of layers including a wiring layer are stacked as a flexible portion further including an insulating layer, and the other portion as a rigid portion further including a rigid layer, wherein the ultrasound probe is connected to the rigid portion, and at least a part of the flexible portion is disposed in a spiral shape to surround a wiring connection portion of the cable and the rigid flexible substrate, and an uncovered portion of a distal end side of the cable.

A light source unit includes a light source including a light emitting portion, a light source holding member holding the light source, a light transmission member including an incident portion wherein light from the light emitting portion is to enter the incident portion, a light transmission member holding member holding the light transmission member, a positioning portion provided on the light transmission member holding member and abutted on the light source to position the light transmission member holding member and the light source to position the incident portion and the light emitting portion, and an adjustment joining mechanism configured to join the light transmission member holding member and the light source holding member to each other so as to adjust the relative positions thereof, and joining them to each other in a state where the light source and the positioning portion abut on each other.
