A remote control for controlling a luminaire is wirelessly controllable with a terminal device. The remote control includes: a receiver that receives an input from a user; a first communication circuit that communicates wirelessly; and a first controller that generates a control signal and transmits the control signal to the luminaire via the first communication circuit, in which the control signal corresponds to the input received by the receiver and includes identification information unique to the terminal device as a source address.

A lighting apparatus among a plurality of lighting apparatuses in a wireless mesh network in a lighting system including the plurality of lighting apparatuses and a terminal which performs wireless communication with the lighting apparatus includes: a communication circuit which performs wireless communication; and a controller which controls the communication circuit. The controller establishes a connection with the terminal. When another lighting apparatus included in the plurality of lighting apparatuses transmits a signal (second signal) to the terminal using wireless communication, the controller receives the second signal via the communication circuit, and transmits the second signal to the terminal via the communication circuit.

An illumination apparatus includes: a light source; a communication device that performs wireless communication, a timer that indicates a current time; a storage that stores scene information indicating a scene specified by at least one of dimming and toning, and an activation time indicating a time at which the scene indicated by the scene information should be activated; and a controller that, when the current time indicated by the timer reaches the activation time, causes the light source to emit light in a mode for the scene indicated by the scene information, and transmits the scene information and the current time via the communication device.

Illumination apparatus and lighting method

An illumination system includes an illumination device, a control unit for controlling a turn-on operation of the illumination device, and a terminal through which manipulation information of the illumination device is inputted by a user. The control unit includes an information extracting unit for extracting illumination information, within a period between a first moment prior to a falling-asleep time of the user and a second moment after a wakeup time of the user, from manipulation information and operation information of the illumination device stored in a memory unit, and an information transceiver unit for transmitting and receiving the illumination information to and the terminal. The terminal includes a terminal transceiver unit for transmitting and receiving the illumination information to and from the control unit, a display unit for displaying the illumination information received through the terminal transceiver unit and an input unit by which the manipulation information is inputted.

Illumination system and illumination device

A lighting device includes a pyroelectric sensor, a shutter and a lighting control unit. The lighting control unit is configured, when the lighting load is turned off, to turn the lighting load on if the pyroelectric sensor detects a change in infrared radiation. The lighting control unit is also configured, when the lighting load is turned on, to turn the lighting load off if a repetition count or time of a lighting retention time reaches a specified count or time, respectively, with no change in infrared radiation detected through the pyroelectric sensor within each lighting retention time per the passage of lighting retention time.

A power converter apparatus in which a switched capacitor circuit includes one or more sets of cells connected in series each having a capacitor as a voltage supply source and a bridge circuit for inverting the polarities of the capacitor, the switched capacitor circuit is connected to a load, there is provided a means for parallelly charging the capacitors of the cells with a D.C. voltage source, any number of the cell capacitors are connected in series with any polarity to control supply of an A.C. output to the load. Whereby the power converter apparatus using the switched capacitor circuit can supply A.C. power with less distortion to the load without increasing the withstand voltage of the switching elements and without any need for provision of large inductors or capacitors.
