A vibration actuator includes a coil that extends in a vibration direction and has a flat shape and a magnet that extends in the vibration direction and has a flat shape, so that a case can be made flat or low profile. A weight portion is supported by a shaft, so that, when a drop impact is applied, the weight portion can move along the shaft and the weight portion is not freely moved in the case. A coil spring is disposed between a spring receiving portion and a weight portion. Therefore there is no unnecessary space in the case, so that space can be saved and the vibration actuator can be made compact.

Vibration actuator

In a fan motor, there are provided protruding portions provided integrally with a base member so as to face a magnet and protrude toward the magnet, and openings facing the magnet, in the base member made of magnetic material. As to the positional relation between the protruding portions and the openings, when the protruding portions are positioned corresponding to centers of the magnetic poles, the openings are positioned corresponding to boundaries between the magnetic poles. As to the positional relation between the protruding portions and the coils, when the protruding portions are positioned corresponding to centers of the magnetic poles, both ends of the coils are positioned corresponding to positions other than the boundaries between the magnetic poles.

A compact fan motor including a motor body having a tubular case accommodating a rotor, a permanent magnet, and brushes, and a pair of spring terminals that are connected to the brushes, sticks out from a peripheral wall of the tubular case, and has elasticity in a direction perpendicular to an axis of rotation of a shaft; an impeller fixed to the shaft sticking out from a front end of the tubular case; a holder having a case accommodating portion that is provided in a housing accommodating the motor body and impeller and has an inner wall surface extending in the direction of the axis of rotation of the shaft, and a motor body insertion opening provided at an edge of the case accommodating portion; and a pair of conductors provided on the inner wall surface of the holder while contacting with the spring terminals.
