Hemicellulase that degrades corn non-starch polysaccharides ('NSP'), DNA encoding the same, and a method of using the hemicellulase and its DNA are provided. Proteins having hemicellulase activity such as Xyn5A, Xyn10B, Xyn11A, Xyn30A, and Xyn43A are described.

Hemicellulase compositions

A composition for increasing blood flow is provided, wherein side effects such as lowering of blood pressure are reduced and blood flow is effectively increased in the capillaries. A composition containing arginine in an amount from 25 mg/kg body weight to 150 mg/kg body weight is also provided. A food composition or a feeding stuff containing the composition is also provided. Method of using the above compositions to increase blood flow is also provided.

Arginine-containing compositions and methods for increasing blood flow using same

The present invention provides a glutamine-containing composition which functions to increase blood flow. Glutamine is present in the composition in an amount of 25 mg/kg body weight to 150 mg/kg body weight. By administering the composition to a subject in need thereof, the blood flow in the capillary vessels can be efficiently increased, while inhibiting any side effects such as low blood pressure. The present invention also provides food or feed containing the composition for increasing blood flow.
