A system for identification, separation and compacting of empty beverage cans including a first device for distinguishing between cans to be accepted and not accepted and rejecting non-acceptable cans, and for detecting at least one dimension of a can to be compacted, and for determining a can redemption value based on such detection, and a second device for compacting the can through interaction of a three arm device, a first arm contacting a mid-portion of the can and compressing that mid portion, and second and third arms acting on end regions on either side of the mid-portion to compress the remaining portions of the can. The arm device is retracted and the compacted can is removed after the compressing action is completed by the arm device.

Handling and compacting of empty beverage cans

A device for feeding documents, such as receipts (K) to a receiver from a printing apparatus which prints information on the documents. The device includes means (9-13) which prevents the documents from being fed out and made available to the receiver until all information has been printed on the document, means (2) for making a document, the feeding of which is prevented through an outlet opening (4), unavailable to the receiver, and means (9-12) for transportation of the document to a place where it does not prevent the feeding of further documents through the outlet opening.

Document feeding device

In a matrix printing head (1) including at least one printing needle (9), an electromagnet (2), which is provided with an armature (4) co-operating with the printing needle for moving the latter towards a printing position, and a spring (6) for returning the needle in a direction from the printing position, the printing needle is pivotably and detachably connected to the armature (4) by means of said spring (6). The pivotable connection is accomplished by the printing needle (9) being provided with a curved end (9b) pivotably supported in a groove (4c) in the armature (4). The curved end of the needle is retained in this groove by means of said spring (6). The armature (4) is pivotably supported in a notch (5b) in a yoke (5) carrying a plurality of electromagnets (2) and is detachably supported in the notch by means of said spring (6).
