A liferaft system comprises a container for storing a liferaft, and at least one sheet of material for fitting over an exterior surface of the liferaft container and configured to heat an interior volume of the liferaft container.

Storage of liferafts

A liferaft system has a container () which contains an inflatable liferaft () in a hermetically sealed bag () and an emergency pack () outside the bag (). The emergency pack () is connected to the liferaft so that, upon inflation of the liferaft (), the emergency pack () is automatically drawn into the liferaft (). The container () is separable into two parts () to allow deployment of the liferaft () and includes also a hatch () through which the emergency pack () can be removed and replaced without disturbing the liferaft ().

Liferaft system

A fascine comprises a plurality of elongate hollow inflatable pipes (). The pipes () can be surmounted by a trackway () formed by track sections () that are also inflatable. The pipes () in the track sections () can be vacuum packed for compact transportation and easy deployment.
