A boat hull is provided that has a substantially seamless construction wherein the boat hull is an integral monolithic structure. In the formation of the boat, the boat interior components for example deck precursors are positioned in the mold prior to formation of the hull so that the boat hull can be made in a one shot molding process.

Boat hull and method of manufacture

A flexible molding component used with a base mold improves on existing methods of forming fiber reinforced composite parts. The molding component is formed of a flexible body structure having an interfacing surface and a perimeter region including a perimeter seal configured for sealing engagement with the base mold. Resin and vacuum distribution channels are formed in the interfacing surface to deliver resin to a fiber lay up disposed on the base mold and draw the resin across and through the lay up, respectively, to properly mix the resin/fiber combination which forms the desired part. Application of the vacuum causes the perimeter seal of the flexible body structure to sealingly engage with the base mold to enclose materials between the body structure and the mold, as well as causing the interfacing surface to draw against the resin/fiber combination, and the mold to shape the combination into the desired part.

Closed molding tool

A boat having a jump seat is provided. The boat includes a boat hull having a recessed passenger compartment. The jump seat includes a support assembly comprising a support deck and a sleeve. A seat cushion is provided for selectively resting on a portion of the deck assembly and being stowed within the pocket. The deck assembly can be used both as a seat support and as a standing deck eliminating the need to stand on a cushion to thereby provide a more stable convertible standing area.

Boat construction with stowable seat

A livewell tank for use on a boat is provided having a bottom and a sidewall section forming an interior compartment. A top is coupled with the sidewall section and extends inwardly to cover the interior compartment about the periphery of the sidewall section. An overflow drain is located proximate the top of the tank and a baffle inhibiting turbulent flow is positioned between the overflow drain and the bottom of the tank.

Livewell tank

An aluminum boat is provided having a stringer assembly with curved stringer to support the boat. The boat further includes a keel box for encapsulation of foam at high pressure to strengthen the boat. An integral trim tab is provided to control the shingle angle of the boat. Also, a multi-piece knee brace assembly is provided to support the transom of the boat.
