A signal processing assembly is provided, the signal processing assembly comprising: a signal processing portion for deriving an output signal based on an input signal; and a control portion for controlling derivation of the output signal in the signal processing portion for rendering by a sound and vibration reproduction apparatus. The control portion is arranged to separately control respective amplifications for derivation of the output signal in a first frequency band and in a second frequency band, where the first frequency band represents tactile frequencies and the second frequency band represents audible frequencies, the signal control portion arranged to at least one of the following: determine a first amplification for the first frequency band in dependence of a user-selected second amplification for the second frequency band determine the first amplification for the first frequency band in dependence of a signal content type represented by the input signal.

Controlling reproduction of sound and vibration

A technique for joint production of vibration and sound is provided. According to an example embodiment, the technique is provided by an apparatus including a unit for jointly producing vibration and sound to reproduce an input audio signal provided as input thereto, the unit arranged inside a padding to generate mechanical vibration that is perceivable as a vibration and sound on at least one outer surface of the padding and to radiate the sound through the at least one outer surface of the padding and a unit for regulating perceivable intensity of vibration in dependence of at least one characteristic of the input audio signal.

Enhanced sound perception via regulated vibration

The invention relates to a seat arranged for enhanced sound perception via vibration including a padding and a sound reproduction assembly (), which includes at least one vibration source (), at least one elastic element () and at least one frame structure (), which sound reproduction assembly is at least partially arranged inside the padding. The elastic element/-s () are nonhomogenous element/-s and located in contact with the frame structure () and the vibration source () and configured to provide elastically and mechanically tuned mounting and that the elastic element/-s are configured to create at least lateral vibration to the surface of the seat.

Seat arranged for enhanced sound perception via vibration

The invention relates to a device for producing sound and vibration () for a user to hear and feel via surface contact, which comprises a damper mass plate () and an inertial actuator () attached thereto, which inertial actuator () comprises a damper mass (), which is via a primary suspension () supported in a springing manner on the inertial actuator () to be moving substantially in one linear direction, which inertial actuator comprises a power source for the damper mass (). The device () comprises a secondary suspension () and a mechanical limiter () for improving the performance of the inertial actuator and/or protecting it from external disturbances.

Apparatus for producing sound and vibration

According to an example embodiment, an apparatus for active cancellation of sound and vibration is provided, the apparatus including sound and vibration generation components for jointly producing vibration and sound under control of a driving signal provided as input thereto, the components being arranged inside a padding to generate mechanical vibration that is perceivable as a vibration and sound on at least one outer surface of the padding and to radiate a sound through the at least one outer surface of the padding, a feedback unit for providing feedback information that is indicative of acoustic energy of sound and vibration inside the padding, and a drivert for generating the driving signal in dependence of the feedback information so as to reduce energy of ambient sound and vibration induced inside the padding due to one or more external sources of sound and vibration.
