A silver halide photographic material for use in flash exposure of less than 1/10000 second comprising 10.sup.-8 to 5.times.10.sup.-7 moles/moles of silver halide of at least one compound belonging to Group VIII of the Periodic Table and at least one of the sensitizing dyes of the following formulas (I) or (II) and which is capable of sensitizing silver halide at less than 550 nm: ##STR1## wherein R, R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, Q, X.sup.(-), Z, Z.sub.1, Z.sub.2, n, n.sub.1, n.sub.2 and n.sub.3 are as defined in the specification.

Silver halide photographic emulsions for use in flash exposure

A silver halide photographic material for use in flash exposure of less than 1/10000 second comprising 10.sup.-8 to 5.times. 10.sup.-7 moles/moles of silver halide of at least one compound belonging to Group VIII of the Periodic Table and at least one of the sensitizing dyes of the following formulas (I) or (II) and which is capable of sensitizing silver halide at less than 55 nm: General Formula I ##STR1## General Formula II ##STR2## WHEREIN R, R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, Q, X.sup.(-), Z, Z.sub.1, Z.sub.2, n, n.sub.1, n.sub.2 and n.sub.3 are as defined in the specification.

A lith-type silver halide photographic light-sensitive material for forming halftone dot images is disclosed which contains a sensitizing dye represented by the following general formula: ##STR1## WHEREIN Z.sub.1 is an atomic group necessary for forming a naphthothiazole ring, Z.sub.2 is an atomic group necessary for forming a member selected from a group consisting of substituted or unsubstituted, benzothiazole, benzoselenazole, naphthothiazole and naphthoselenazole nucleus, R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are respectively a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, X.sup..theta. is an anion, and n is a positive integer of 1 or 2 with the proviso that when the dye is an inner salt, n is 1.

Lith-type silver halide photographic light-sensitive material

A compound having a 2- imidazoline nucleus is used a development accelerator.

Development method

An improved lith-type silver halide photosensitive material of a wide latitude for infectious developing is disclosed which comprises, in an amount of 5 mg to 5 g per mole of silver halide, a compound represented by the following general formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, arythio or aryloxy group, and R.sub.2 is hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy or nitro.

Lithographic development of a lith-type silver halide emulsions

Substances of the structure ##EQU1## wherein Z is phosphorus, X.sup.-is Cl.sup.-, Br.sup.-, ClO.sub.2 .sup.- or BF.sub.4 .sup.-, and R.sub.1 - R.sub.4 are alkyl or aromatic groups are excellent inhibitors of fog formation when incorporated in photographic emulsions containing silver halides.
