An attachment portion facilitates attachment to an attachment object such as a vehicle. The attachment portion includes a first fastening portion, a second fastening portion to be screwed with the first fastening portion, a detent portion (a connection portion, a holder) provided between the first fastening portion and the second fastening portion, and a deformable member (a claw washer) provided between the first fastening portion and the detent portion. The detent portion suppresses that at least one of the first fastening portion and the deformable member rotate(s) when the second fastening portion rotates. After the first fastening portion and the deformable member are inserted into an attachment hole into which the attachment portion is to be inserted, of the attachment object, the deformable member sandwiches the attachment object with the second fastening portion by rotating the second fastening portion so as to be screwed with the first fastening portion.

An antenna apparatus includes a signal processing section having a first processing unit for calculating position information of a vehicle to which a first antenna element is attached, a second processing unit for performing mobile communication, a third processing unit for receiving information from outside of the vehicle and transmitting information that pertains to the vehicle, and a fourth processing unit for receiving a digital broadcast; an antenna element section having the first antenna element to a fourth antenna element; and a transceiver unit connected to a gateway ECU of the vehicle through an onboard LAN. The first antenna element to the fourth antenna element are covered with an antenna case. The first to fourth processing units are accommodated in a housing arranged at a position closer to the antenna element section than the gateway ECU.

A novel small-sized low profile antenna device that replaces a monopole antenna is provided. The antenna device is attached to a vehicle, the vehicle has an attachment surface, and the antenna device includes plural metal surfaces provided on a plane generally orthogonal to the attachment surface, the plural metal surfaces being formed at different angles from each other. A section of the antenna device opposed to the attachment surface is open, and each of the metal surfaces is formed with at least either one of a slot antenna and a slit antenna for a vertically polarized wave.
