The present embodiments relate to a method in a system, a method in a network device, and a network device. The method includes: acquiring, from an entity, a notification of the occurrence of an accident of a vehicle in an area; requesting a RAN node and a CN node of the mobile operator to provide information regarding the vehicle; receiving from the CN node a combined information including information regarding communication with the vehicle and/or information of interest in said area provided to the core network node from vehicles and/or users, and/or devices present in said area where the accident occurred, and available information regarding the vehicle; and analyzing the received combined information.

Provisioning of a terminal device for a mobile communication network

Disclosed is a method for monitoring a communication between a first entity and a second entity. The method includes: receiving measurement data indicative of a payload data; receiving metadata from data storage configured to store metadata received prior to the payload data traffic; comparing at least one parameter derivable from the measurement data to respective at least one parameter derivable from the metadata, and setting a detection result to express one of the following: (i) the payload data between the first communicating entity and the second communicating entity complies with the metadata, (ii) the payload data between the first communicating entity and the second communicating entity deviates from the metadata. Disclosed is a method for selecting a mobile communication network service. In the method it is generated a signal associated with data indicating at least one service requirement to a first mobile communication network and a response indicating a service capability of the first mobile communication network is received. In response to a detection that the first mobile communication network is not capable of providing the at least one service requirement a signal is generated to at least one second mobile communication network. Emergency messaging

A method for controlling connectivity of a mobile device being connected to a first network through a first radio communication interface. The method includes triggering the mobile device to adopt a power saving mode with respect to the first network; and in response to the triggering of the adoption of the power saving mode, generating a signal for activating a second radio communication interface in order to establish a connection to a second network. A mobile device that performs the method and a computer program product with program code, that when executed on at least one processor of a computing apparatus, causes the computing apparatus to perform the method.

Management of a connectivity of a mobile device

The embodiments herein relate to an IoT device, a method performed in the IoT device, a network device and a method performed in the network device for securing communication of the IoT device roaming from a home network to a visited network. The method comprising: receiving a request from the IoT device to set up a VPN tunnel; acknowledging the setting up of the VPN tunnel, and routing data received from the IoT device destined for an IoT service provider via the VPN tunnel. This way the encryption/decryption processes are handled by the visited network.

Methods and apparatuses for providing security in a roaming environment

The embodiments herein relate to methods and apparatuses for activating or running services or resources requested by an IoT device. The IoT device requests attachment to a mobile network by sending a request to core network which confirms said attachment. The IoT device then transmits a software/data container to the core network, the container comprises features/functions needed for running the requested resource/service. A network edge device then sets up the resource/service enabling the IoT device to run the service/resource provided the core network validates the software/data container. There is also provided a network edge device and a core network.

Methods and apparatuses for providing a service to an IoT device

The invention relates to a method for registering a roaming device to a mobile communication network, the method comprises: receiving a request over a specific communication mode from the roaming device, determining the at least one communication route to the server at least in part based on the request received in the network node, generating an inquiry to the server regarding the roaming device over the determined communication route, receiving a response from the server over the determined communication route, and in response to a determination that data in the response so indicates registering the device for utilizing the mobile communication network over the specific communication mode.
