A method of operating a hearing system comprising a first hearing device and a second hearing device, includes: obtaining sensor data, the sensor data comprising first sensor data representing first physiological data and second sensor data representing second physiological data, where the first sensor data comprises or is indicative of first sensor signal from the first hearing device configured to be arranged at a first ear of a user, and the second sensor data comprises or is indicative of second sensor signal from the second hearing device configured to be arranged at a second ear of the user; comparing the first sensor data and the second sensor data; determining a first parameter based on a result from the act of comparing the first sensor data and the second sensor data; and outputting a first output signal indicative of the first parameter.

Hearing system with heart rate monitoring and related method

Disclosed is a method, a headset and a system for determining heart rate data of a user. The system comprising a headset for voice communication, the headset being configured to be worn at least partly at or in the ear of the user, the headset comprising: a voice communication unit for enabling a voice communication call mode for establishing a call between the headset and a far-end device; a speaker for reproduction of audio signals; a microphone for reception of audio signals; a photoplethysmograph (PPG) sensor for optically measuring through the skin of the user in or at the ear of the user; wherein the system comprises a processing unit connected to the PPG sensor, where the processing unit is configured for determining heart rate data of the user based on the PPG sensor measurements; wherein the system comprises detecting whether the user is on-call with a far-end device or off-call; and wherein the system comprises a data communication unit for providing the determined heart rate data of the user, when the user is wearing the headset, for indication of the heart rate data of the user.

Hearing system with heart condition alert and related methods

A headset for voice communication is disclosed, the headset comprising at least one earphone having a speaker and one or more microphones. The headset is configured to be operated in a first mode in which an electronic noise cancelling circuit is configured to receive ambient audio via at least a first of the one or more microphones to implement an active noise cancelling function and to provide a noise cancelling audio signal to the speaker, and in a second mode in which ambient audio is provided as a hear-through audio signal to the speaker. The headset for voice communication is configured to detect whether a call is ongoing, and to provide a call signal in response to the detection. The headset comprises the electronic noise cancelling circuit, a voice activity detection unit configured to indicate when a user speaks, a switching element configured to switch the headset between operating in the first mode and operating in the second mode, wherein, when the headset is operated in the first mode and the call signal indicates that the user is not in a call, the switching element is configured to switch the headset from operating in the first mode to operating in the second mode when the voice activity detection unit indicates that the user speaks.

A computer controller for a plurality of audio devices and audio applications and a method of control is disclosed. An audio subsystem is disclosed allowing multiple applications executed by the computer to exchange audio signals with multiple sound interface devices. A first sound interface device to emit a first loudspeaker sound signal in dependence on the first loudspeaker audio signal. The sound signal is received by an intermediate application and from the audio subsystem a first microphone audio signal depending on a first microphone sound signal received by the first sound interface device. An intermediate application causes a second sound interface device to emit a second loudspeaker sound signal in dependence on the second loudspeaker audio signal. This allows a user to conduct a softphone call using one headset connected to the computer, while the user's supervisor may listen in on the softphone call using a second headset connected to the same computer, however, without requiring any changes of the computer's hardware, its operating system or the softphone application.
