A method of assigning data capacity to network slices in a mobile communications network comprises acquiring identifiers of the network slices managed by a device, an indication of types of services being provided in the identified network slices, number of data radio bearers (DRBs) served by each network slice and number of DRBs served by each service type in each network slice; adding the acquired identifiers, indication of types of services being provided, number of DRBs served by each network slice and number of DRBs served by each service type in each network slice; computing a slice weight for the data capacity to be assigned as a product of an initial weight indicating the data capacity being assigned and the number of DRBs divided by a sum; and assigning the data capacity to said each network slice in accordance with the computed slice weight.

A method of operating a management node of a wireless mobile/cellular network is discussed, the network including a Radio Access Network (RAN) having a plurality of RAN nodes and a transport network having a plurality of transport nodes. Network data for the wireless mobile/cellular network is collected, wherein the network data include network installation data relating to the pluralities of RAN and transport nodes. A configuration for the wireless mobile/cellular network is automatically provided based on the network data. Responsive to providing the configuration, the configuration is automatically deployed to provide configuration of the pluralities of RAN and transport nodes.

A method of operating a User Equipment (UE) device may be provided. Installation data relating to an antenna of a radio access network (RAN) node may be obtained, wherein the installation data includes physical installation data including at least one of a height of the antenna, a direction of the antenna, and/or a tilt of the antenna. The installation data may be transmitted from the UE device to a management system for a wireless communication network including the RAN node. Related radio nodes and management nodes are also discussed.

Methods of obtaining radio access node installation data and related user equipment devices, radio nodes, and management nodes

The application discloses methods and corresponding systems and network devices and/or nodes for enabling user equipment belonging to a home network to access data communication services in a visited network of a wireless communication system. By way of example, there is provided a method that comprises the step of obtaining at least one cryptographic token originating from a network node of the home network of the user equipment and cryptographically signed by a private key associated with the home network, wherein the at least one cryptographic token represents means for accessing data communication services via user data transport functions of the visited network. The method also comprises cryptographically signing the obtained and signed token by a private key associated with the user equipment to generate a double-signed token, and sending the double-signed token to a network node of the visited network, which validates the double-signed token for enabling the user equipment to access data communication services via the user data transport functions of the visited network.

Trusted solutions for enabling user equipment belonging to a home network to access data communication services in a visited network

It is provided a method for enabling a user device to verify data integrity. The method is performed in a network node and includes: obtaining measurement data indicating resource usage by the user device; obtaining a session identifier; generating a measurement indicator using a one-way function, based on the measurement data; generating an asymmetric cryptographic signature of the session identifier and the measurement indicator, the asymmetric cryptographic signature being based on a private key of a cryptographic key pair of the network node; and storing, in a distributed ledger database, a set of data comprising the asymmetric cryptographic signature, the session identifier and the measurement indicator.

The radio network node receives a connection request from the wireless device comprising an indication, which indication indicates connection to the first network slice. Congestion control in a telecommunications network, in which a method of congestion control in a transport network is provided. A buffer state of a buffer is monitored by dynamically sampling the buffer such that the sampling rate is adjusted in dependence of the buffer state. Also, a condition indicative of congestion is determined in response to a change of the buffer state exceeding a predetermined limit. In response to determining the condition indicative of congestion, a congestion notification message is created. The created congestion notification message may then be transmitted to a second network node. The second network node may subsequently compensate for a detected congestion on the basis of a received congestion notification message.
