The present invention relates to a wireline expansion tool for setting of a completion tubular component such as a straddle, a liner, a patch or a liner hanger, the wireline expansion tool having an axial extension and comprising an electric motor connectable with and powered through a wireline, an axial force generator driven directly or indirectly by the electric motor for providing a movement along the axial extension, a radial expansion tool section connected with the axial force generator, and a completion tubular component, arranged at least partly around at least part of the radial expansion tool section for expanding at least part of the completion tubular component, wherein the radial expansion tool section comprises a first element movable along the axial extension by the axial force generator and a support structure connected with the first element, the support structure supporting the completion tubular component during expansion, and the first element being connected with the support structure for moving the support structure at least partly radially outwards for simultaneous expanding the completion tubular component. The invention also relates to a downhole tool string comprising the wireline expansion tool and a driving unit, such as a downhole tractor, for propelling the wireline expansion tool forward in the well.

Wireline expansion tool

The present invention relates to a downhole wireline tool for performing an operation on a rotatable component part mounted as part of a well tubular metal structure in a well, the downhole wireline tool having an axial extension and a front face facing away from a top of the well, and the downhole wireline tool comprising a wireline connection unit for connection to a wireline, an electric motor powered by the wireline for rotating a rotatable shaft, and a gearing system driven by the electric motor, the gearing system comprising a first gearing part connected with the rotatable shaft and configured to rotate in a first direction, wherein the gearing system further comprises an intermediate gearing part rotated by the first gearing part and a second gearing part rotated by the intermediate gearing part to rotate in a second direction opposite the first direction. The invention also relates to a downhole system comprising the downhole wireline tool and a driving unit, such as a downhole tractor, for propelling the downhole system forward in the well.

Downhole wireline tool

The present invention relates to a downhole tool string for displacing at least a tool section in a well in a radial direction in a wall of a well tubular metal structure extending along an axial direction in relation to the radial direction, comprising a tool body having an outer face and a tool centre axis along the axial direction, a centre plane extending along and enclosing the centre axis, dividing the tool body into a first body half and a second body half, an operational machining tool for performing a machining operation in the well tubular metal structure, such as drilling a hole in the wall, and extendable from the outer face of the first body half in a first radial direction in relation to the tool centre axis, and a first displacement element extendable from the outer face of the second body half of the tool body for displacing the tool body towards the wall for arranging the operational machining tool close to the wall, the first displacement element being extendable between a retracted position and a projected position, wherein the downhole tool string further comprises a first distancing element extendable from the outer face of the first body half, the first distancing element having a retracted position and a projected position, and in the projection position of the first distancing element a distance is provided between the outer face and the wall of the well tubular metal structure. Moreover the present invention also relates to a downhole system.

Downhole tool string

A downhole driving unit for propelling a tool forward in a well and/or for providing weight on a bit while performing an operation, includes a tool body, an electric motor powered by a wireline, a plurality of projectable arm assemblies connected in a first arm end with the tool body, a plurality of wheels for contacting a wall of the well, each wheel comprising a hydraulic motor for rotation of the wheel, each arm assembly being at a second arm end connected with one of the plurality of wheels, and a first hydraulic pump driven by the electric motor for generation of a first fluid pressure for projection of the plurality of projectable arm assemblies. The downhole driving unit further comprises a hydraulic section with a first controllable valve controlling the first fluid pressure.

Downhole self-propelling wireline tool

The present invention relates to a downhole self-propelling wireline tool string for being connected to and powered by a wireline for propelling a tool forward in a well and/or for providing weight on a bit while performing an operation, comprising a first downhole self-propelling wireline tool, comprising a first tool body, a first electric motor operating at a rotational speed, a first electric control unit for controlling the rotational speed of the electric motor, one first drive section, comprising a plurality of projectable arm assemblies movably connected at a first arm end with the tool body and projectable from the tool body by means of a first fluid having a first fluid pressure, and a plurality of wheels for contacting a wall of the well, each wheel comprising a hydraulic motor for rotation of the wheel to provide a self-propelling movement, and each wheel being connected with a second arm end of one of the arm assemblies, a first hydraulic pump driven by the electric motor for generation of a second fluid pressure for driving the hydraulic motor(s) rotating the wheel(s), and wherein the downhole self-propelling wireline tool string further comprises a second downhole self-propelling wireline tool, comprising a second tool body, a second electric motor operating at a rotational speed, a second electric control unit for controlling the rotational speed of the electric motor, one second drive section comprising a plurality of projectable arm assemblies movably connected at a first arm end with the tool body and projectable from the tool body by means of a first fluid having a third fluid pressure, and a plurality of wheels for contacting the wall of the well, each wheel comprising a hydraulic motor for rotation of the wheel, and each wheel being connected with a second arm end of one of the arm assemblies, at least one second hydraulic pump driven by the second electric motor for generation of a fourth fluid pressure for driving the hydraulic motor(s) rotating the wheel(s), and wherein each electric motor comprises a power-limiting unit in order to distribute a first part of the current from the wireline to power the first electric motor and a second part of the current to power the second electric motor.

Hydraulically driven downhole self-propelling wireline tool string

A downhole packer assembly includes a body part, an expandable tubular packer element surrounding the body part, and a first end and a second end of the expandable tubular packer element are fixedly connected with the body part, providing an expandable space fillable with liquid during expansion, and a metal sleeve surrounding the expandable tubular packer element. A restriction unit has an axially movable part movable between a first axial position in which the axially movable part at least partly overlaps the expandable tubular packer element and a second axial position in which the axially movable part has been axially displaced in relation to the body part away from the expandable tubular packer element.

Downhole packer assembly

The present invention relates to a downhole wireline intervention tool for performing intervention in a well, comprising a wireline, a motor powered by the wireline, a positive displacement pump driven directly or indirectly by the motor for delivering a flow of fluid, an expandable bladder expanded by fluid delivered by the positive displacement pump, and a flow control device comprising an inlet, a piston and a venting port fluidly connected to the well, the piston being movable between a first position in which the venting port is fluidly connected to the expandable bladder and a second position in which the venting port is fluidly isolated from the expandable bladder for expanding the expandable bladder. The present invention also relates to a downhole system comprising a well tubular metal structure, an intervention method for intervening a well by means of the downhole wireline intervention tool according to the present invention and finally, the use of the downhole wireline intervention tool according to the present invention.

Downhole wireline intervention tool

An annular barrier includes a metal part and an expandable metal sleeve. The first end of the sleeve has a mechanical connection, and is connected to the metal part via a bite connection with a cutting ring including an outer ring face having an inclined face and an inner ring face having a first cutting edge configured to cut into the outer part face, and a connection ring with a mechanical connection engaging the mechanical connection of the sleeve when the inclined face slides along a tapering face of the sleeve for pressing the first cutting edge into the outer part face, fastening the sleeve to the tubular metal part.

A downhole tool for projecting a projectable element downhole includes a tool body having a radial bore, a projectable element forming a piston in the radial bore, the projectable element having first and second element parts. In the retracted position the projectable element and the second bore part define an annular cavity, a hollow base part having an open end and a closed end, the open end extending into the open first end of the projectable element forming a chamber. The open end of the hollow base part has at least one spring element arranged in the chamber and connected to the closed first end of the projectable element and to the closed end of the hollow base part for retraction of the projectable element, and a pump configured to pump fluid into the chamber via a fluid channel to project the projectable element.

Downhole tool with long projecting extension

A downhole patch setting tool for expanding a patch over a distance of 10+ metres in a well, has a top and a tool body having a bore, an outer face, a first end and a second end, the second end being arranged closer to the top than the first end, the bore at least extending from a first bladder assembly to a second bladder assembly, an expandable metal patch, the first bladder assembly and the second bladder assembly creating an annular space therebetween, the expandable metal patch having an inner diameter in an unexpanded condition, the tool body having a first and second openings, providing fluid communication between the bore and the first bladder assembly and the second bladder assembly to allow pressurised fluid to expand the bladder assemblies, and a valve arrange to control passage of the pressurised fluid from the bore to the annular space.

Downhole patching setting tool

The present invention relates to a downhole operational tool for moving a tool part between a retracted position and a projected position in a well. The downhole operational tool comprises a tool body having an axial extension; the tool part being movable perpendicularly to the axial extension between the retracted position and the projected position; a projection actuator configured to project the tool part from the tool body by means of hydraulics, the projection actuator comprising an actuator housing and a projection piston configured to slide inside the actuator housing, the tool part being connected with the projection piston; and a retraction actuator comprising a spring element configured to retract the tool part into the tool body, the retraction actuator being connected with the projection piston so that when the projection actuator projects the tool part, the spring element is compressed. The spring element is arranged outside the actuator housing.

Downhole operational tool

Drilling tool () for drilling openings in a cement ballast tank () of an oil rig in order to gain access to an internal space in the ballast tank comprising an electrical motor () driving a first shaft (); a pump () driven by the motor for pumping well fluid in through an inlet () and out through an outlet (); a gear () driven by the first shaft extending through the pump for reducing rotation of a second shaft (); and a drilling head () having bits and at least one drilling head fluid channel and being driven by the second shaft (), the outlet of the pump being fluidly connected with the fluid channel to pump well fluid out through the fluid channel.

Drilling tool

The present invention relates to a downhole machining system () for machining a casing () in a borehole in a well having a top. The downhole machining system comprises a first tool part () having an axial extension () and an anchoring section (); a second tool part () adapted to rotate and move axially in relation to the first tool part, the second tool part comprising a machining bit () being movable in a direction radial in relation to the axial extension; a first actuator () comprising an electrical motor (A) for axially moving the second tool part in relation to the first tool part; a second actuator () comprising an electrical motor () for rotating the second tool part in relation to the first tool part; and a third actuator () comprising an electrical motor () for rotating the bit. At least one of the actuators comprises a gear () for changing a rotational speed of a rotor of the motor.

Downhole machining system and method

The present invention relates to a downhole tool () to be submerged into a well fluid from a top of a well, comprising a first tool section (), a tool housing () having an inner face (), a downhole communication module () for communicating through a well fluid in a downhole well to operate the downhole tool, comprising a piezoelectric transceiver () having a first face () and a second face () and being arranged in the tool housing, wherein an element () is arranged between the piezoelectric transceiver and the tool housing, and the element is arranged in abutment with the first face of the piezoelectric transceiver and the inner face of the housing, so that the tool housing acts as a transducer when the piezoelectric transceiver is activated and enlarges in a radial direction of the tool housing, forcing the tool housing outwards and sending a signal through the well fluid. The present invention also relates to a downhole system and a communication method.

Downhole tool

The present invention relates to a downhole system () for sealing an opening () in a wall of a well tubular structure in a borehole () downhole by means of a downhole tubular assembly (), comprising the downhole tubular assembly comprising an expandable tubular part () having an inner face () and an unexpanded expandable tubular thickness in an unexpanded state, and a helical spring () having a helical inner diameter, a radial helical spring thickness and a helical outer diameter in an unexpanded state, the helical spring being arranged inside the expandable tubular part and substantially concentrically with the expandable tubular part, an expansion tool () for expanding the tubular assembly inside the well tubular structure () in one direction, the expansion tool comprising an expansion part having a diameter, and the expansion tool being arranged substantially on an axis which is concentric and longitudinal with the tubular assembly, and positioned in a first position, wherein the expandable tubular part is expanded by moving the expansion tool from the first position through the expandable tubular part and the helical spring so that the helical spring extends the diameter of the expansion part and acts as a distance element when expanding the expandable tubular part to abut the well tubular structure for sealing the opening. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a downhole tubular assembly and a method of sealing an opening in a wall of a well tubular structure in a borehole downhole.
