A portable communication apparatus () comprises a first housing portion () and a second housing portion (), a rotary support member () rotatably connecting the first housing portion and the second housing portion, an image producing apparatus (), and an optical input () for the image producing apparatus located in the support member. The image producing apparatus () is located in the first housing portion () or the second housing portion () of the portable communication apparatus (), and an optical arrangement () extends an optical path () of the image producing apparatus from the first housing portion or the second housing portion to the optical input () located in the rotary support member ().

The present invention is directed towards a method, a link check device, and a portable communication device for communication link check. The link check device () comprises a receiver unit () for receiving and monitoring information including a power control signal from a base station on a first link (). A first and second signal generating unit () connected to said receiver unit () provide a first and second noise signal (R, R), which are transmitted to a combining unit () to provide a third signal representing signal (R) strength for communication links.

Radio link check

An antenna includes an aerial sheath, a body and legs pivotally attached to the body. The legs can be pivoted in the body from a storage position in which they are adjacent to the aerial sheath, to a working position in which they extend away from the body in a direction opposite that of the aerial sheath. The legs can support the antenna with the aerial sheath pointing upwards.
