A system in accordance with present embodiments includes an amusement park system having one or more hardware components and a controller. The controller includes a memory device having a game layer and a software layer stored thereon. The game layer includes game logic, and the software layer includes a game API communicatively coupled to the game layer, a wrapper API communicatively coupled to the game API, and multiple wrappers communicatively coupled to the wrapper API. The controller further includes a processor configured to execute instructions to cause the processor to receive a signal indicative of a change in the hardware components, and, based on the signal indicative of the change in the hardware components, communicate with the hardware components via a wrapper to receive an input from the hardware components, or drive operation of the hardware components.

Modular amusement park systems and methods

An amusement park system includes a modular attraction system having a ride vehicle having seats to accommodate passengers, an on-board system integrated with the ride vehicle and having on-board game systems connected via a network. Each on-board game system is configured to provide an augmented reality (AR) experience, or a virtual reality (VR) experience, or both, via a respective visual experience generator device. The AR experience, or the VR experience, or both, is provided within a game shared between the on-board game systems. The on-board game systems are integrated into the ride vehicle, and are connected via the network to one another in a manner that allows for ready removal of all or a portion of one of the on-board game systems without affecting operation of the remaining on-board game systems.

Modular augmented and virtual reality ride attraction

A quick disconnect system for an accessory electrically coupled to a component of an amusement attraction includes a multi-part electrical enclosure including a first side, a second side opposite the first side, a first opening on the first side, and a relief pass through. The multi-part electrical enclosure is configured to: have a first electrical cable coupled to the accessory pass into the multi-part electrical enclosure via the first opening and have a second electrical cable pass into the second side of the multi-part electrical enclosure to enable the first and second cables to be coupled together within the multi-part electrical enclosure. The relief pass through is configured to provide strain relief to both the first electrical cable and the second electrical cable and to prevent disconnection of the accessory from the multi-part electrical enclosure.

System and method for rapidly changing an accessory for an amusement attraction

An amusement park attraction includes a ride vehicle configured to travel along a path of the amusement park attraction, an attraction controller configured to generate virtual elements, and a robot assembly disposed on the ride vehicle. The head of the robot assembly is configured to adjust positions relative to the ride vehicle. The amusement park attraction further includes a headset communicatively coupled to the attraction controller and a camera disposed in the head of the robot assembly. The headset is configured to be disposed on the head of the robot assembly. The headset is also configured to display the virtual elements generated by the attraction controller based on a headset position in the amusement park attraction. The camera is configured to acquire data indicative of the virtual elements displayed by the headset.

Extended reality ride test assembly for amusement park system

A wearable visualization device configured to provide a user with an augmented reality, a virtual reality, and/or a mixed reality experience includes a housing and a lens portion extending from the housing. The wearable visualization device includes a first display screen and a second display screen coupled to the housing and configured to project light onto the lens portion, where the lens portion is configured to reflect at least a portion of the light into eyes of the user. The wearable visualization device includes a camera positioned between the first display screen and the second display screen and configured to acquire image data of the lens portion.

Wearable visualization device systems and methods

A detection system is configured to detect improper handling of a wearable visualization device. The detection system includes a sensor coupled to the wearable visualization device, a light emitter coupled to the wearable visualization device, and a processor configured to receive a signal from the sensor. The processor is also configured to determine whether the signal indicates improper handling of the wearable visualization device, and to instruct illumination of the light emitter in response to determining that the signal indicates improper handling of the wearable visualization device.

Drop detection systems and methods

A wearable visualization system that includes a wearable visualization device. The wearable visualization device includes a housing. A display couples to the housing that displays an image for a user. A camera couples to the housing and captures the image. A computer system receives the image from the camera and compares the image to a master image to determine if the image matches the master image.

Wearable visualization system and method

A threshold detection system may include multiple wireless devices, wherein each individual wireless device may include a transmitter to transmit a wireless signal. The threshold detection system may also include a receiver array of multiple receivers to detect the wireless signal of each individual wireless device in response to the individual wireless device being in range of the receiver array. The threshold detection system may also include a controller to receive detection signals from the receivers and determine a direction of travel of an individual wireless device relative to a predetermined threshold based on the received detection signals. The controller may also determine that the individual wireless device has crossed the predetermined threshold and trigger an audio or visual alert in response to the determination that the wireless device has crossed the predetermined threshold and is traveling in an exit direction based on the determined direction of travel.
