The invention relates to a voltage intermediate circuit converter having a 12-pulse input converter ( ), having a voltage intermediate circuit ( ) and having a machine converter ( ) using three-point switching. According to the invention, the two converter elements ( ) of the input converter ( ) have a respective self-commutated pulse-controlled converter ( , ). An input converter ( ) is thus obtained, which links the advantages of a diode front end and an active front end with one another.

Rectifier apparatus for high voltages

A low-inductive busbar arrangement for a three-point phase module of a polyphase three-point power converter is provided. At least one turn-off semiconductor switched being provided for each switch of this three-point phase module and at least one diode being provided for each of the two neutral point diodes. Connection busbars of this three-point-phase module are distributed between three busbar planes of the low-inductive busbar arrangement, which are mutually electrically insulated from one another in each case with insulation layer and are arranged in a plan-parallel manner. A low-inductive busbar arrangement for a three-point phase module is thus obtained which has three busbar planes, irrespective of the series connection number.

Provision of a low-inductive rail for three-point phase module

An air-cooled power converter with gate turn-off power semiconductors, is described in which the cooling capacity is such that the temperature of the gate turn-off power semiconductor does not exceed a critical temperature limit, the power converter having optimized heat sinks, at least some of which are thermally connected in parallel, and the power converter is designed to operate at a continuous load of 1 to 20 megawatts, preferably of 2 to 10 megawatts.
