A method for operating a vehicle seat device for motor vehicles, which has a vehicle seat with a seat part and a backrest, associated with the seat part, and at least one actuator which is associated with the seat part and/or the backrest and by means of which the vehicle seat can be brought automatically into a sitting position and into a reclining position, wherein the movement takes place as a function of a desired position that can be specified by a user and of at least one detectable vehicle seat state. It is provided that a current temperature is monitored as the vehicle seat state and that if the monitored temperature falls below a limit temperature, the vehicle seat is brought into a sitting position or left in a current sitting position regardless of the desired position.

A seat adjustment mechanism of a seat for facilitating entry and exit of a person into/out of an interior of a motor vehicle, wherein a backrest part is forcibly coupled to a seat part via a rocker arm such that an adjusting movement of the backrest part is transmitted to the seat part. The backrest part and the seat part of the seat are moved from a starting position to an intermediate position by a first predetermined horizontal length by means of a sliding device which is connected to an upper rail of a seat rail, wherein the backrest part is rigidly connected to a backrest release unit of the backrest part via a coupling element, which is pivotable about a first coupling element pivot axis with respect to the sliding device.

A head restraint with a basic structure which serves to adjust the head restraint and to receive a person's head. The basic structure has a holding structure and at least one framework structure, wherein the framework structure has flexurally elastic flanks and deflectable cross struts which lie between the flanks and are arranged on the flanks via an elastic connector, as a result of which a force pulse which acts on the cross struts of the at least one framework structure via a flexurally elastic flank and which acts on a front side of the at least one framework structure from one direction causes a compensating, autoreactive deformation of the at least one framework structure at another point in the opposite direction.

An air-conditioned seat includes a seat area and a backrest, the seat area and/or the backrest being cushioned with foam. For climate-control, a ventilator, in particular a radial ventilator, is provided, which is in operative connection with an air distribution device in the foam of the seat area and/or the backrest, the air distribution device including an air distribution structure on the side (e.g., a B side) facing away from the seated person, as well as air-conducting channels toward the side (e.g., an A side) facing the seated person. The ventilator is to be disposed in the foam itself, on the B side. The air is transported to the A side via the air distribution structure in the form of air trenches introduced into the foam on the B side, and via the air-conducting channels.
