A method for evaluating performance between a network node and at least one test radio head, each one of the at least one test radio heads being located remotely from the network node. The method is performed in the network node, and comprises sending a loopback signal to at least one test radio head to add a loopback of its transmission signal on its receiving signal; sending a transmission signal to the at least one test radio head; receiving a received signal from the at least one test radio head; and determining a performance by comparing the received signal with the transmission signal.

Evaluation performance between a network node and a radio head

Network node and method therein for inter cell interference coordination. A method in a network node comprises estimating spatial properties of a radio channel between a base station and at least part of an underlay/neighboring cell based on information about spatial properties of a radio channel between the base station and a respective at least one user equipment (UE) located in a region associated with inter cell interference in relation to the underlay/neighboring cell. A transmission is adapted to a UE, served by the base station in a reduced power subframe, based on a correlation between the spatial properties of the radio channel and estimated spatial properties of a radio channel between the base station and the UE. The method enables control of interference subjected towards the underlay/neighboring cell, caused by downlink transmission to the UE.

Method and arrangement for inter-cell interference coordination

There is provided mitigation of disconnect events in a vectoring based digital subscriber line, DSL, system. A method performed by a digital subscriber line access multiplexer, DSLAM, comprises detecting a loss of signal or disconnect event of a line in a vectored group of DSL lines, the loss of signal or disconnect event causing a negative impact on the DSL system. The method further comprises detecting a change in at least one downstream, DS, crosstalk coefficient of at least one line in said vectored group of DSL lines. The method further comprises determining a magnitude of said change. The method further comprises determining where the loss of signal or disconnect event has occurred by processing precoding coefficients of the vectored group of DSL lines. The method further comprises determining, on basis of the determined magnitude and where the loss of signal or disconnect event has occurred, an action to be performed by the DSLAM so as to mitigate for said negative impact.

Mitigation of disconnect events in vectoring based DSL systems

A mobile telephone is easy to carry around but has a small keypad and a small display. A normal deskphone has a big keypad and display and has a convenient handset, but is stationary. A stationary communications terminal is described which is connected to a mobile telephony network via a mobile telephone. The mobile and the stationary terminal have each a BLUETOOTH radio transceiver and are interconnected via a BLUETOOTH link. The stationary communications terminal lacks identity in the mobile network. A subscriber, owning the mobile, can call on the stationary communications terminal and can move to another network having another stationary terminal, on which he can make a call. Another subscriber with a mobile can call on the communications stationary terminal. To prevent misuse the subscribers take an authentication code for his respective mobile on the stationary terminal, and the authentication can be made valid for a predetermined period by taking a service code.

Arrangement and a method in a telephony system

Arrangement and a method in a telephony system permitting communication using a stationary telephony terminal via a mobile radio telephone

The present invention relates to a telecommunications exchange () and a method for handling call diversions such that emergence of so-called trombone connections is avoided. According to the inventive telecommunications exchange () and method, trombone connections are avoided by means of changing a diversion of calls placed to a first extension number (No(V)) in the exchange, from being diverted to a second remote extension number (No(A)), which is used to set up a data connection (), to instead be diverted to a predetermined third extension number (No(S)). An advantage of the present invention is that connections that previously unnecessarily used three trunk channels, by means of the invention instead are set up on a single trunk channel. Thereby available trunk resources are utilized more efficiently in a telecommunications system.

Method and apparatus for handling telecommunications connections

The present invention relates to a device and a method for a telecommunication system comprising an exchange ( ), which comprises a network connection device ( ), which provides a user (A) with the possibility to connect a computer ( ) to a data network ( ), as well as a telephony server ( ), which provides said user with the possibility to, during an ongoing data network session, use the service telephony on the same subscriber line ( ), which is being used for the data network connection. The invention makes the handling of user information in the exchange ( ) more efficient, by providing the network connection device and the telephony server with user information, which is entered in one single user data base ( ). The data base is used for operation and maintenance personnel entering static user information and for entering session related user information, which is obtained during one single access control at connection to the data network ( ). The information in the data base is accessible to both the network connection device and the telephony server, which makes a second access control, when activating the service telephony during an ongoing data network session unnecessary. The present invention decreases the amount of duplicated user information in the exchange and makes handling of user information in the exchange easier.
