The invention relates to a wash-off label. According to an embodiment, the face film of the wash-off label comprises biaxially oriented plastic film and configured to shrink asymmetrically so that a difference between the shrinkage of the film in machine direction and in transverse direction is at least 55%, when exposed to washing liquid comprising caustic soda and having temperature in the range of 65-85&#xb0; C. for equal or less than 5 minutes. The invention further relates to a use of the wash-off label and to a labelled article.

Wash-off label

A printed linerless face laminate includes a release layer including a release agent, a second layer including a thermoplastic polymer, a second adhesive layer, a first layer including a thermoplastic polymer or fiber-based material, and a first adhesive layer including a pressure sensitive adhesive, wherein the print is on one or more printable surface(s) between the first layer and the second layer. A method for producing the printed linerless face laminate is also described.

Linerless label and method for preparing a label

The invention relates to a wash-off label structure and an adhesive layer comprising a pressure sensitive hot melt adhesive layer sensitive to the washing conditions. The invention relates to an adhesive composition, labels and label laminates containing the adhesive composition, wherein the adhesive composition comprises at least the following components: polymer(s) based on alkyl acrylic ester(s) and pressure polymerized vinyl acetate ethylene copolymer(s) comprising ethylene content between 5 and 40%. A filmic label including a face material having a front side, a reverse side and an adhesive layer including pressure sensitive adhesive on the reverse side of the face material. The face material includes at least one surface layer on at least one side of at least one central layer. The at least one central layer includes cavities that have been initiated at initiation sites by stretching the face material in a longitudinal direction and in a cross direction. The cavities have been expanded in a thickness direction of the face material by allowing a gaseous substance to have an effect on the at least one central layer. Also a method for forming a plastic film for a filmic label.
