A bone plug compression instrument that can be used to reshape includes a first compression element having a first cavity, a second compression element having a second cavity, and a base portion for supporting the first and second compression elements. The second compression element moves between first and second positions. In the first position, the bone plug compression instrument forms an open configuration, in which the first and second cavities are spaced apart from each other allowing the bone plug in a substantially non-compressed state to be inserted in a space between the first and second cavities In the second position, the bone plug compression instrument forms a closed configuration, in which the first and second cavities press against each other to form a combined cavity for compressing the bone plug received in the combined cavity. The combined cavity has at least a partially converging shape.

Bone plug compression instrument

The present invention relates to a modular knee prosthesis assembly kit for replacement of resected articular surfaces of a distal femur of a first patient side. The kit comprises at least one bi-condylar component sized and shaped to substantially replace resected posterior and distal condylar bone portions; and at least a first trochlear groove component and a second trochlear groove component, each sized and shaped to replace a resected trochlear groove bone portion. The first trochlear groove component comprises a first patella articulation path defining a first trochlear groove direction angle. The second trochlear groove component comprises a second patella articulation path defining a second trochlear groove direction angle. An assembly of the bi-condylar component and one of the first and second trochlear groove components forms a substantially complete femoral knee prosthesis. The second trochlear groove direction angle is different from the first trochlear groove direction angle.

Modular knee prosthesis

An insertion instrument is configured to eject a pair of anchor bodies across an anatomical gap so as to approximate the gap. The insertion instrument can include a single cannula that retains the pair of anchor bodies in a stacked relationship, or a pair of adjacent cannulas that each retain respective anchor bodies. The insertion instrument can be actuated so as to eject the anchor bodies into respective target anatomical locations.

Insertion instrument for anchor assembly

The present inventions relates to an osteotomy implant for bridging an osteotomy opening or resection in a target bone in a substantially countersunk manner. The osteotomy implant comprises a proximal portion with at least one aperture for receiving at least one bone fixation element and a distal portion with at least one aperture for receiving at least one bone fixation element. At least one middle strut portion connects said proximal portion with said distal portion. Said at least one middle strut portion has a width which is equal to or smaller than a thickness of said at least one middle strut portion.

Osteotomy implant

An insertion instrument is configured to eject one or more of anchor bodies across an anatomical gap so as to approximate the gap. The insertion instrument can include a single cannula that retains the pair of anchor bodies in a stacked relationship, or a pair of adjacent cannulas that each retains respective anchor bodies. The insertion instrument can be actuated so as to eject the anchor bodies into respective target anatomical locations.

Methods for approximating a tissue defect using an anchor assembly

A bone plate comprises a locking hole extending through the bone plate from a top surface to a bottom surface thereof. The locking hole is threaded and sized and shaped to lockingly receive a correspondingly threaded head of a bone fixation element therethrough. The bone plate further comprises a first plate relief extending at least partially through a thickness of the plate and separated from the locking hole to define a first weakened portion of the bone plate. The first plate relief extends around a portion of a circumference of the locking hole.

The present application relates to an implant system, preferably for the sacroiliac joint, comprising an implant body with at least two adjacent apertures, at least two screws and an insertion instrument assembly. Each screw comprises a screw head and a threaded elongated shaft. The at least two screws are rotatably engaged within said at least two apertures. The insertion instrument assembly includes a basis, a first holding means and at least one rotatable driving means configured for engagement with a drive of at least one of said at least two screws. The at least two screws or said insertion instrument assembly comprises transmission means such that a rotational movement of a first screw of said at least two screws is transferred to the at least one further screw.

A device for implanting a bone fixation system comprises an insertion instrument extending from a proximal end to a distal end, the distal end having an engagement portion for removably engaging a proximal end of a bone plate, the insertion instrument having an elongated channel extending therethrough to permit insertion of a first protection sleeve therethrough, wherein a longitudinal axis of the elongated channel is coaxial with a longitudinal axis of a first opening extending through the bone plate and a first protection sleeve insertable into the elongated channel and guiding insertion of an anti-rotation screw therethrough and through the bone plate, a longitudinal axis of the first protection sleeve being angled with respect to the longitudinal axis of the elongated channel.

Femoral neck fracture implant

The application relates to a bone screw assembly for fixation into a bone, comprising a first screw element with a body including a threaded first end with a first external screw thread having a first handedness and a first lead length. The first screw element comprises an internal thread feature with a second handedness and a second lead length located within a bore within said body. The screw assembly includes a second screw element comprising a second external screw thread with the second handedness and the second lead length. Said second screw element is arranged within said bore and said second external screw thread is engaged with said internal thread feature. The second screw element is movable from a first implantation configuration where the second screw element is arranged completely within said bore and a second implantation configuration where the second screw element protrudes from said bore.

Artificial joint implant

An expandable spinal implant assembly for insertion between two adjacent vertebral bodies includes a first body with a first superior endplate and a first inferior endplate, which are connected together. A strut is comprised by said first body and connects with one of said endplates, said strut including a first threaded through bore with a central axis. The spinal implant assembly further includes a substantially hollow second body having a second superior endplate and a second inferior endplate, and is engaged within said first body. At least one track is arranged on a second top inside face of said second superior endplate and/or on a second bottom inside face of said second inferior endplate, said track being oriented at an acute angle relative to the central axis of said first threaded through bore when said substantially hollow second body is at least partially engaged with said first body.

Expandable spinal implant

Provided are methods and systems for enlarging a spinal canal of a vertebra. Using the methods and systems disclosed the spinal canal of the vertebra is enlarged by cutting the posterior arch portion of the vertebra to create one or two implant receiving spaces in the posterior arch portion. The cutting of the posterior arch portion is completed through a minimally invasive approach. Once cut, the detached portion of the posterior arch portion is repositioned and an implant is positioned in the implant receiving space of the posterior arch portion to thereby enlarge the spinal canal such that the spinal cord is no longer compressed. The insertion of the implant is also completed through a minimally invasive approach.

Methods and systems for minimally invasive posterior arch expansion

The present application relates to an expandable spinal implant () comprising two elongated implant members (). The implant members () are rotatably coupled to a central base portion () and comprise a first end with an axis of rotation and circumferentially arranged gear teeth (). The gear teeth () of the first elongated implant member () is interlocked into said gear teeth () of the second elongated implant member ().

Intervertebral implant

An expandable spinal implant assembly is configured to be inserted between two adjacent vertebral bodies. The expandable spinal implant assembly includes a substantially hollow first body with a first superior endplate with a first top inside face and a first inferior endplate with a first bottom inside face. The first superior endplate and the first inferior endplate are connected together by a lateral wall. At least one strut is arranged within said first body, connecting the first top inside face with the first bottom inside face, said strut including a first threaded through bore. The assembly further includes a substantially hollow second body with a second superior endplate and a second inferior endplate, said second body inserted within said first body. A central screw with a first end including a ball-head and a drive, said central screw further having a threaded shaft is engaged within said first threaded through bore.
