A stowable table is provided having a tabletop with a top surface that faces outward when stowed and upward when deployed. In one embodiment, the stowable table includes a tabletop, a support bracket and a back member. The tabletop has a top surface, a bottom surface and an end. The support bracket has an upper end and a lower end, wherein the upper end is pivotally connected to the bottom surface of the tabletop. The back member has a bottom end, a top end, a back side and a front side, where the front side extends between the bottom end and the top end, wherein the lower end of the support bracket is pivotally connected to the bottom end, and the end of the tabletop is positionably connected to the front side between a stowed position and a deployed position. The stowable table is selectively attachable to a wall or may use the wall as a member.

Stowable table

A table that is stowable and deployable from a seatback of a passenger seat includes a substantially planar food tray with a first surface and a second surface substantially parallel to the first surface. The tray is stowed in a substantially vertical position with the first surface facing a seated passenger. The stowed tray is held in position with a moveable switch engaged against the first surface. A device for stowing and deploying the tray is mounted on the second surface. A pair of legs is mounted to the device. Each leg has a first end attached to the device and a second end attached to the seat. Upon turning the switch clear of the first surface, the device slidably urges the first surface from its stowed position to a deployed, substantially horizontal position, with the first surface facing upwards.

Easy cleanable food tray

An automatically retractable restraint assembly for vertically restraining a body by engagement with its side. The centerline restraint (10) includes a pair of normally upright positioned inside heads (20), each head having an outwardly extending toggle (76) for engaging the side of a cargo body (14). The inside heads are automatically retractable into the frame (24) upon engagement by the cargo body after the preceding engagement of either of a pair of release wings (30). The inside heads are also spring loaded outwardly along the longitudinal centerline of the centerline restraint to maintain contact between the toggle and the cargo body should it attempt to move out of engagement. A pair of normally upright positioned and automatically retractable outside heads (22) are included to engage a cargo body of lesser widthwise dimension.

Automatically retractable centerline restraint

A stop assembly allowing a body to pass over it in a forward direction but obstructing passage in the opposite backward direction. The rollout stop assembly (10) includes a frame (18) and a pair of stops (20) mounted therein. Each stop includes a camming surface (30) which causes the stop to rotate downwardly into the frame upon engagement by the forward moving body (16), thereby allowing passage. Each stop also includes an abutment surface (32) engagable with the passed body that prevents backward movement of the body.

Rollout stop

A spring-loaded outboard side lock for restraining the movement of a cargo body. The outboard side lock (10) includes a base (20) secured to the outboard sides of a main cargo deck (12), the base having a guideway (38) in which a plunger (22) is slidably mounted. The plunger has formed in it a recess (44) and a pair of abutment walls (52) that extend generally perpendicular to the bottom of the plunger. An actuator (54) is disposed within the recess and is coupled to a lever (24) for reciprocal movement, and a pair of springs (50) extend between a pair of transverse spring abutting wings (64) of the actuator and the abutment walls of the plunger. Activation of the lever moves the actuator toward the cargo body (16) to be restrained, whereby the transverse spring abutting wings of the actuator act against the springs, which act against the abutment walls, to urge the plunger into engagement with the cargo body to restrain its movement and to maintain engagement in the event the cargo body attempts to move away from the outboard side lock. Deactivation of the lever causes the plunger to disengage the cargo body, thereby permitting its movement.

Spring-loaded outboard side lock

A folding chair assembly for dual use as a wheelchair or a flight attendant's seat onboard a commercial passenger airplane. The folding chair assembly can be manipulated into any of the following modes: (1) fully retracted into a compact assembly that can be stowably secured by a plurality of catches against a vertical wall in the passenger compartment of an aircraft; (2) with the chair assembly still secured to the wall, the seat pan is pulled down against a seat return spring and is usable as a flight attendant's seat; and (3) the folded chair assembly is completely detached from the plurality of retaining catches and fully extended to function as a wheelchair that is usable down the aisles of commercial passenger aircraft.

Folding wheelchair

A wheelchair for transporting a physically handicapped person down the narrow aisle of a commercial passenger airplane. The wheelchair comprises a fixed back frame structure having a pair of rear caster wheels mounted to the lower end thereof and a pair of front wheels mounted on an extendable front wheel frame assembly which includes a foot rest member at the front end thereof. The rear caster wheels provide directional control. The wheelchair can be manipulated into any of the following modes: (1) a folded arrangement that can be stowably secured by a plurality of catches against a vertical wall in the passenger compartment of an aircraft or the like; (2) with the wheelchair assembly still secured to the wall a seat pan is pulled down against a seat return spring and is usable as a flight attendant's seat; and (3) the folded wheelchair is completely detached from the plurality of retaining catches and fully extended to function as a wheelchair with a pair of handles extending rearwardly for an assistant's use.
